Normal clone jutsu has no physical presence, it's an illusion that has to be complemented with hidden attack from the original to seem real in physical situation. Shadow clones have substance and are physical and can fight and be hit. Their endurance vary during the series, but they basically have physical presence. There are also other form of clone with physical presence, like Water clones, earth clone etc.. Basic clone justsu is the one that they learn in school because it's easier to do and requires less chakra to use.

Hey hey, important info here. 1:08:10 - Hey Cannon, you're right. The SHADOW Clone Jutsu is a Forbidden Jutsu bc of the insane amount of chakra it takes to produce and manage. Academy students, like you seen in this video, are only doing the regular Clone Jutsu which is a common test to perform during the Academy graduation and requirement for ranking up to a Genin. The difference between the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the Clone Jutsu besides for the chakra usage required for them, I have no clue. If I remember correctly, shadow clones are more powerful than regular clones. The latter also can only BARELY battle other people before disappearing while the former can have full on battles before disappearing- depending on the user of the clones.

I also believe they would have found a dub viewing more hype and exciting. One of the best dubs of all time, with an all star VA cast, it really sold the anime to the entire freaking Western civilization back when anime was on TV and DVD and the Internet still had dial-up. But I understand they are uniform with their sub/dub policy towards anime, most channels are. Imo, YuGiOh and Naruto dubs are just next level, though.

As a little reminder about Might Guy's Eight Inner Gates attacks, each one of them is named after a time of day and an animal. Asakujaku (Morning Peacock) is a technique he can do with the 6th gate which allows him to perform a flurry of fire punches using friction (like what Sanji does). Hirudora (Afternoon Tiger) is a technique he can do with the 7th gate which is the air tiger attack he performed on Kisame to counter Samehada. The 3rd attack he named dropped at the end of the last episode of this batch which is Sekizo (Evening Elephant). You guys can find out what that attack does in the next batch. The animal naming scheme of Guy's Eight Inner Gates attacks seem to get more dangerous the later in the day it is.
