Fyi, the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel is not an original story, and it was actually compiled from three different stories (light novels, CD drama). It was eventually adapted into an anime, but it was poorly adapted, and the anime is going to feel poorly written and incoherent with VN references at times. Disappointedly, they had cut out the most interesting parts from the visual novel. I still recommend watching it because not of all it is bad especially with the performance of one character throughout the season, and a fan favorite of another. Also, some of your curiosity/questions will be addressed in Steins;Gate 0. Lastly, as I have mentioned before, I recommend the released order with saving the movie for last.
