Top tier episode. The last 2-3 episodes have surpassed the manga by far. Makes so much more sense and is way more satisfying than when I read the manga week to week

I love how everyone from the movies are in here cheering Deku on!

I loved your reaction and this episode. I truly understand why it’s so highly rated on IMDb after watching it several times. The animation, also for little moments like Deku swallowing back tears of gratitude at some point are so well done. The music. The past references in the animation and scene style. Everything. At first the “you can do it” and everyone coming together seemed a little cheesy, but it embodies the show so well and just ties everything together so well that it works. This episode also shows why Deku is the main character and puzzle piece needed to not only defeat all for one but bring the whole superhuman society together.

this episode is the embodiment of the entire show dude, and it does it so WELL,, MHA has Never been about who can be the best/most epic fighter, it's about saving people's hearts just as much as saving the day. there are amazing action/animation sequences in the show for sure, but the heart of this show isn't about that - it's about all of us choosing to be heroes for each other. All Might is my goat fr, but his legendary status not only made people complicit in choosing not to help others/do the right thing even when it's scary, it also isolated Yagi Toshinori as a human. That route has NEVER WORKED (exhibit a: season 6). Midoriya reaches out to others even though he himself is so vulnerable (and sometimes BECAUSE he's vulnerable and he understands), from the very beginning, and that's the way forward in a society that has gotten too comfortable letting "someone else" take care of problems for us, because we've already got so much going on and we don't want anyone to know/help. It's a lot harder to withhold judgment on others's weaknesses when you can't even come to terms with your own. that kind of solution doesn't come easily - I mean, bakugo's whole arc as a character is founded on his rejection of this because he was taught to (lmao). But Midoriya inspires people not just to work harder and become stronger, but also to be okay with showing their own weakness (read: humanity) and relying on each other to be strong together. That's AWESOME. OFA is literally the power to connect people's hearts together - it started with Kudo connecting with Yoichi, and it ends not with Midoriya giving it away, but with his connecting to everyone else. AFO was defeated because of that connection; he knew he could beat every single one of them individually, but he didn't consider how strong they could be COLLECTIVELY. No one would have been there to help All Might to fight because they didn't see the man in him anymore, only the hero. It's different with Midoriya (shout out Kaminari for already saying this) - it's exactly BECAUSE they see the man in him that they come to fight, and it's also why he's a hero to them. Fighting is cool, don't get me wrong. But seeing a full cultural shift as the result of one person's refusing to give up on reaching out to others, while being unafraid about his human nature? Now THAT'S what I call hero work. No wonder he's the greatest hero - it was never about being the most powerful for Deku. It was about being there for people, and that shit is contagious.

I wish you all would have gotten to react to this together. But, this was still a great reaction! This was a great episode. I am wondering what we see in the next few episodes. I bleuve there are 3 or 4 more? I always liked Deku. I don't get the hate for him either 🤷‍♀️

Deku losing his quirk was the perfect full-circle ending. In the first few eps, they planted the seed that a hero isn't defined by its quirk but defined by their heart, choice and sacrifice. Obviously we wanted him to have it but the quirk was never what made Deku special. He ran quirkless in ep2 to try and save Kacchan and that to me right there is a hero. However, I have another side of me that needs to say that he deserves his quirk back. HE WORKED SO HARD FOR IT ALL THIS TIME. It’s gut wrenching for me to see him forced to give it up when it was something he spent his life wishing for. At the end, OFA was truly a gift it deku; a treasure his idol passed onto him. It kills me but the full circle was written beautifully🥺✨💚 2016-2025 What a great run, imma miss myhero💔🥺 I also need to say that the manga go soooo hard. I know manga readers have already said something before, but I recommend at the end of this season to look at the panels
