Very true. But I’m not sure if the Geks are into philosophy and such? Although it would be really interesting to see their take on it (if they choose to go down the rabbit hole…) especially once they finish both of these shows

Nobody mentioned in the comment so far, but that movie you guys keep mentioning, Age of Tomorrow is actually based on a Japanese novel called All you need is kill, the novel has a manga adaptation done by the same artist that worked on Death Note and some time next year I think it will have an anime Movie coming up. I've read the manga a few years ago and it's really good, I've never seen the Tom Cruise movie tho

The mention to Heidegger in this episode is so amazing to me, Steins;gate story really matches the philosophy of Heidegger a lot. The existential themes, time is what makes existence happen and in this show how time is shown as something that can be controlled by human hands is so riveting and frightening. At the end of the day, time haunts every existence and is not something that should be played with. People often criticize others for bringing philosophical themes into anime, but I believe every great piece of media has the creators philosophical ideas and experiences built into its narrative, which is what make them compelling and relatable.

Problem with not binging this series is you tend to forget small things which might get brought up later (like how the 42 CRT needs to be turned on to use the TimeLeap or DMail machine or how TimeLeaping doesn't outright change world lines but sending a DMail can change world lines) but it looks like you guys are still following the show pretty well. Looking forward to the next drop!
