I agree with the comments, justice for Nancy and Lucas! Love Robin, but she was definitely written to be annoying in that scene. Nancy being annoyed with her... was valid. It's obviously not just the Steve thing, but her bestfriend literally JUST died (again). Nancy was locked in, Robin was not. The 80's actually did have a huge focus on popularity but he was still playing D&D as well as basketball so it's not like he dropped anyone. If anything they dropped him. That said, Lucas has shown time and again his friends were important to him. Season 1 he was psychotic over trying to find Will. That was his literal main focus. He wanted them to tell their parents about El so they could go back to finding their friend. He didn't know her or trust her. He went about it a little rage-y BUT it was logical. Once he knew who she was, he's loved her since. He's been a ride or die at the core of it.

It’s really subtle and overlooked but I love the scene where the gang pulls up to the crime scene and Nancy sees them. I never took it as a Steve and Nancy moment, I took it as Nancy seeing her friends and immediately getting hit with a bunch of emotions. Comfort and reassurance cause she was alone when a traumatic event just happened but also clarity and fear that she is right and something more is going on. The little wave was like a “Hey thank god you guys are here, you don’t need to come over I’m ok and I’ll talk to you about everything in a sec.” I thought it was beautiful acting by Natalia Dyer.

Not sure if it’s just me but I feel like most reactions I’ve seen to the show or comments in general always glaze the male characters, meanwhile don’t really empathize with the female characters or understand where their coming from. I love Steve and he’s definitely one of my favorites but I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s too good for Nancy as if he’s been perfect. Considering where he started in season 1 and his past behavior that led to Nancy pulling away from their relationship. I just don’t understand the perspective that so many people have that Nancy is the villain in their story, considering Steve himself doesn’t even view it that way and obviously still cares about her. Also I think El was completely valid in her talk with Mike. As soon as he said she was being ridiculous for how she felt I was over it. He proved her point by still not being able to tell her he loves her. I just feel like people have more grace for the guys meanwhile are so hard on the girls. They’re all just trying to figure themselves out while also going through trauma every season.

I don’t know if you guys understood what’s the “role” of Dr. Owens since y’all had questions at the end, but he’s supposed to be some kind of replacement for Papa (the goated version like Cannon said). He said he’s the one who relocated them and at the end of the battle of Starcourt season 3 you see him showing up with the military so I assume he got caught up on all the lore after ( and also how they covered the incident). woohooo stranger things reactionnn!! The satisfaction that you guys were right in max being the next vecna victim was so funny. Steve and Dustin's dynamic will never get old, love them. I like to give Eleven some grace because she didn't have a normal childhood so I think her actions are valid in some ways, not excusing her that violence is the key though. But then again, Angela got her karma I hated her with all my heart. My opinion she's worst than demogorgans, they're better than her rotten soul. And I loved how Mike was trying to handle the situation with Eleven. Ohhh but the way Eleven brought up that Mike never told Eleven he loved her was so valid like, Eleven always wrote "Love, El" in her letters when she was narrating the beginning of the first episode of the season. I've never really been a huge fan of the Mike and El relationship. They're apart for most of season 2. And when we finally see them together in S3 and 4 all they do is fight, breakup, lie and miscommunicate. I also want Mike to be a character again outside of just being "the boyfriend" so maybe that's also contributing to my dislike of their relationship
