Frieren 1:1 is a different beast when she feels she needs to try versus just being around and helping out in a low-key fashion.

2025-10-26 06:08:20 +0000 UTCAAH THE COREOGRAPHY IS SO GOOD, if you go back and watch those fights, both Stark's and Fern's you pick up on so many small details that frankly don't need to be animated but it's what makes it so perfect, like one of my favourite details is just Fern's footwork while dodging Lugner's attacks like as an attack is coming in from the left you see her slowly taking a few steps to the right in preparation to dodge and it's just... those small unnecessary details that Madhouse puts the effort into animate is one of the things that makes this show so flawless imo, there's just no gaps in the animation like I like what Jack said about the animation not really changing cause the quality doesn't really pick up or anything the show's just at top quality in every scene

I also love how dynamic the fights are, but it's not even just the fights, every movement is fluid and they use a lot of unique perspectives. I'm so hyped for the next episode too!

MAPPA another big studio was created by one of Madhouse's co-founders

While there are smaller examples of that detail throughout the show, that one scene was a chance to highlight how amazing the animation in this whole show is. Watching this episode again, im just still so impressed.

Vinland doesn't move that much, it gets away with just really detailed drawings and direction most of the time. AOT has a lot of scuffed art and animation at times along with those infamous extremely long panning still frames earlier on which gets overshadowed by all the really good stuff. I can't recall a single instance of Frieren looking bad or having a noticeable lack of movement.

But I'm so happy ya'll are appreciating that this anime highlights fight scenes and that then again, it isn't what defines anime. Frieren is a nice balance of cherishing the happy/small moments and shows mild yet important conflicts/fights. I'm like so impatient for the next reaction it's unbearable mannnn.

Gosh. The way it surpassed any expectation I had by a 1000. The cinematics, the effects, the SONGS everything was perfect and I can't even say I'm a big CSM fan or anything. I like it but that's all. That movie was peak, it left me speechless and I had to hold back tears. Idk when the geks will be able to react to it, but they will be shook, 100%. The effort put in it was insane.
