In season 1 he did that trick with his shoulders when the bullies asked him to. It's a genetic disorder that causes under development of bones and teeth and what not. This includes collarbones. Some ones are underdeveloped or absent. He talked about this a lot when the show first came out to bring awareness and it's part of his character as well which is super cool.

2025-10-09 10:15:30 +0000 UTCI hope you guys can enjoy Hopper again after this 😂 The actor refers to him as Fat Hopper in s3 and he talks about him as if he’s his own separate character from the Hopper in previous seasons. It was intentional. As the season has gone on you can see the old Hopper come back a bit more. I do think his frustration initially with El and Mike being inseparable for the past 6 months was valid though. He’s just trying to find a sense of normal after everything and in the meantime is dealing with a teenage daughter by himself for the first time and struggling with some ptsd among other things like the mayors bull crap and Joyce wanting to pack up and leave.

Rats eating fertilizer is certainly weird but not weird enough to get fired over. Nancy was cooking but from Jonathan’s perspective she was acting a little crazy, and ended up getting him fired. She wasn’t thinking about how her actions affected him. Ultimately she was in the right but he had ever reason to be upset with her.

Then all the characters aren’t home this whole time so they couldn’t reach the adults rn if they tried. They don’t have cellphones lmao 🤣. I think we should also give the characters grace because they are getting wrapped up in what they are doing so they aren’t thinking that far ahead yet. The first season the kids didn’t tell because they were trying to protect Elle and save their friend on their own because they are naive and didn’t know who to trust. The second season they definitely could’ve came together sooner but again there’s always a lot going on and they don’t have an easy way to stay in contact besides the kids and their walkies which they have to be in range for. And kids just act like kids tbh. The adults are just hoping and praying the kids aren’t involved so they aren’t worried about them. Then Johnathan is in denial kind of like hopper was and Nancy doesn’t have any evidence it’s connected to the supernatural stuff until she sees the old lady freak out. At this point Nancy just thinks she’s onto something weird but not super strange and she just wants to be right. It is frustrating when they aren’t all communicating but realistically it makes sense they can’t keep up with each other and they all aren’t quick to figure it out. Every season ramps up within a couple days and a lot is always happening.
