I liked Star and Stripes. I was bummed she was taken out, but I like how she made it so they couldn't take her power. I was sort of surprised Aoyama was the rat, but also at the same time not. He was acting weird that one time looking in Deku's window and it seemed like he was trying to tell him something. I do feel bad for Aoyama because he and his family ended up in a bad situation trying to get their son a quirk. I haven't seen the comments about Toga and Spinner, but I could see them having a potential ARC. I also don't get why people hate on the show. This is my first watch and I am enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing this next battle.

Ngl for me, Star and Stripe's impact was kinda useless, the author really disrespected her, it shouldn't have went the way it did. All she did was give them some time ? And if we mention the loss of quirks, they never really showed more than a dozen of Shigaraki's quirks, and never were going to show anymore, always the same, so it technically didn't do much except give a reason as to why all the other quirks aren't shown on screen and in fights.

one criticism I have about S&S fight is that it's over way too fast. I know Hori set her up to be weaker than All Might, but she's still the strongest hero of the U.S. It'd be nice if she put up more of a struggle you know

Well you guys were a bit distracted, when they explained Togas backstory, but to be fair a lot of people were, cause it was a bit rushed in S5 and people kept exploding around her. To sum it up: She tried to not suck blood/ hide her smile and quirk until she was 16. Then she could not hold it in anymore and killed the boy she had a crush on, sobbing, while drinking his blood. She was then on the run for about a year until she met the league. The blue reporter lady pointed out, that the way she suppressed her quirk and her emotions, basically turned her into what she was. Toga had a pretty big fanbase before season 6 even aired. She is also a metaphor, like the rest of the league, for what child abuse and not recognising mental health issues can do to a human. Fun fact: in her back story in the Manga it's revealed, that her crush was a victim of bully and often bled or got beaten up Also fun fact: Dabis first panel in the Manga is in front of a hair salon :D

It's about to a WILD ride. Buckle up Geks!! Aoyama is sooo brave for doing what he did. He managed to graze All For One with his Navel Laser AND deceive him even when he was right there behind him. Their acting was TOP TIER, I almost believed that Aoyama betrayed them again but NO my boy was just yapping to make it seem like he DID betray Izuku. Amazing. Regarding Izuku and Uraraka's conversation, the situation they're in whereby the villains they both face off against regularly are products of an unsympathetic, pretty elitist and exclusionary society are pretty much parallels of each other. Their journey towards becoming fully fledged heroes is going along a path of self-realisation that the world isn't black and white. It's mostly grey, like Izuku says in S6 during his fight with Lady Nagant. Of course, the upbringing that causes these villains to become villains isn't an excuse for the heinous things they've done to date, but they both realise that it's important to understand their stories. Because if they were to just kill off Shigaraki and Toga, that would just be sweeping the problems of their unjust society under the rug. They would never be able to recognise that complacency and over-reliance on heroes is detrimental (which they never thought of as bad before due to how "peaceful" it was with All Might around and an abundance of heroes saturating society). They would also never realise that some people are born with quirks that require much more support from the general society in order for them to fit in. Toga's quirk, Transform, having to do with ingesting blood is not her fault. It's also not her fault that she has urges to drink people's blood if she loves them. If she loves someone, she wants to be like them, and her quirk allows that, but the condition is that she has to consume their blood - that's not something society with its norms and regulations can accept, which is why she was told to conform and bury everything she felt. But if her parents had helped her learn how to regulate her urges to a manageable extent, she wouldn't have had to suppress them until they eventually exploded in society's face. She might not have turned into the villain she is now. Because for her, "normal" is consuming people's blood. It's a part of her quirk, and thus a part of her. It's like telling a person who was born with six fingers instead of 5 to cut off the extra finger just because it isn't "normal" in society. Only, in superhuman society, that part of her is inherently tied to her personality, which is why she was so despised by her parents (she was acting in ways that were creepy and disgusting to her parents, who are used to the "normal" way children behave). The discrimination some people face based on their quirks IS part of the reason why society has been plunged into chaos and lawlessness. And by acknowledging that superhuman society is currently flawed, Izuku and Uraraka are giving themselves (the new generation of heroes) the chance to CHANGE things in the future. Their parallel dilemmas that wrestle with right VS wrong, justice VS injustice, and villains VS man-made villains show how similar they are, in how they think and how they respond to such ideas. Their friendship is one of mutual understanding of each other's feelings, trust, and a lot of self-introspection. It's why they get along so well. And that's wonderful to see.

I find it so funny whenever Izuku blushes. He does it when he meets heroes he admires (esp All Might!!), when he accidentally has a pair of breasts pressing into his face (Hatsume), and when he gets too close to Uraraka. But when he's complimenting someone on their character, their quirk or their overall existence as a person he says the sweetest things without batting an eye, and he practically raps it out loud like he did with Uraraka in Ep5. He's soooo genuine that giving out compliments, whether it's to All Might, Katsuki or Uraraka, feels like second nature to him. He's just such a cutiepie I love him so much.

The friendships and bonds in Class 1A never fail to make me smile. It's so rare that you find a whole class of teenagers who have good hearts and get along well enough to have come to a consensus about how to respond to one of their own betraying them in ways that have put them all in danger more than once. Aoyama is so blessed for having Class 1A behind his back and supporting his return to them. His actions do not define his character or him as a person, and certainly not for the rest of his life. He's only 16, and he didn't have a choice. It was literally do as All For One says or be killed together with his parents. Him gaining enough courage to deceive All For One is a HUGE step towards the heroes getting an advantage in the final fight against All For One and his forces. I'm so proud of him, I feel like I adopted 50 kids watching MHA and they're all so wholesome my teeth are practically rotting. And I wouldn't have it any other way. S7 has been so good. And I just know you guys are gonna lose your shit more than once down the line.

Them falling for the bait for the reveal of the traitor is so funny. That exact same scene of Invisible Girl (Hagakure) was literally the LAST page of the chapter in the manga so all the fans were just in shambles suspecting her as the traitor when in actuality it was a diversion JHBDHJEB And then them apologising to her after the real traitor was revealed? HAHAHAHAH the reactions were priceless. McKay literally looked so shocked!! But on a more serious note. I hate All For One for doing this to Aoyama and his family. He's always been such a cheerful and eccentric character, and you could always tell that he's a bit of a spoilt child, but he's never had evil intentions towards his classmates. He's a good person. But because of All For One lording over him and blackmailing him with his family's safety, he had to do unspeakable things just to survive. Betraying his class and friends must have hurt so bad. He's reduced to calling himself a villain because he can't possibly forgive himself for putting his friends in danger. And that already speaks a lot about his character. He's just another one of All For One's victims, and I hate that he's been wallowing in guilt this whole time, even when he was trying to BE with everyone else. ALL FOR ONE GOTTA GO RN!!! Side note: I love how Katsuki's Cluster move looks. The way it's animated makes it look so colourful and beautiful. It's like fireworks setting off in the sky. Him and Izuku training together must feel like dream come true for so many fans who started the series when it first serialised. The glimpse of them training together warms my heart so much.

S7 Ep1 and Ep2 made me so emotional for Star. She's literally another Lady Nagant type character. The type that they introduce and only have in the series for a few chapters/episodes and then they're gone, but everyone loved them regardless. Star was such a lovable character not just because of her admiration for All Might and her strength and charisma as a hero. She's THE pinnacle of the generation of heroes that came after All Might's peak. Since All Might held onto One For All for nearly 40 years (much longer than a hero would normally be a hero, since getting older puts a lot of strain on a body that might no longer be able to keep up with the strength of the owner's quirk), he's technically seen a new generation of heroes all over the world rise up under him. Most other heroes are not as old as All Might was right up until he retired, and Cathleen Bate or Star, was literally the next "All Might". She was the best in her country, and widely considered the best in the world after All Might. Now that All Might actually has a proper successor, it still doesn't discredit Star's achievements. In fact, it can be said that her achievements are even more impressive than someone who is All Might's successor because she became so strong all on her own, without the guidance of the strongest hero in the world, while still constantly trying to emulate him as her role model. Her efforts were a product of her determination to be who All Might was to her, so seeing her go was probably one of the most emotional parts of S7 for me. It's crazy how much her death impacted the series (she gave them a whole WEEK extra!!!), both narratively and by being such a goated character. RIP Star and Stripe, you shall be dearly missed, and I will forever mourn the fact that she and All Might never got to meet one last time before she perished.

Invisible girl has improved so much with her ability over the course of the shows by working on refracting light to blind enemies and working on her stealth skills and getting over being embarrassed cause she's naked. She worked on her hand to hand as well. Koda worked on getting over his fear of bugs and has strengthened how many and what size animals he can talk to (you can little by little). What has navel laser done outside of working on how long before he gets a tummy ache..... A LASER FOR A BELLY BUTTON IS STUPID..... it's the lamest of all of class A..... Also another thing...... All for One gave him a navel laser...... like if i was his parents i would have felt short changed ngl of all the fucking quirks to give my son you give him a laser in his belly button..... nah couldn't be me.

I LOVE S6 Ep25 for the amount of fluffy domestic interactions we got from Class 1A. Them throwing Izuku into the bath after spraying his stanky ass with hoses is one of my favourite things in the season. It's so wholesome seeing their friendships persevere even under the stress of a second impending war. Izuku deserved every bit of coddling and care that Class 1A smothered him with. And I absolutely adore that Katsuki, despite apologising to Izuku is still his usual explosive, perfectionist self, but then you see him jump into the bath and talk to everyone, but most importantly, corrects himself when he was about to call Izuku "Deku" again. The last time he called Izuku by his proper given name was when they were tiny children, not even in middle school yet, most likely. So hearing him actively try to embrace that part of him that used to be friends with Izuku is so cathartic after the emotional journey their relationship has been on. Katsuki calling Izuku by his actual name will forever be an indicator and reminder of how much he's developed as a person, and it's just so surreal seeing him so soft with everyone now (him letting Jiro drag him by the collar into the frame cause he was part of the band she led had me laughing so much). I've said it before and I'll say it again. He's such a fake idgaf-er, he refuses to admit he actually has a soft spot for his friends, even if he doesn't treat them as such.

just to clarify bc you guys have kind of spoke about it multiple times, Aizawa's quirk does not deactivate when he loses sight of someone. All he needs to do is see someone to activate it, and as long as he doesnt blink their quirk stays deactivated even if he loses sight of them. It doesnt matter if they run away or hide behind a wall or anything. His quirk only deactivates when he blinks

In the manga, they left the suggestion on a cliffhanger for a week, so people were COOKING by the time they revealed it was actually Aoyama. Also I love Star so much. Her quirk is super OP. She kinda reminds me a little bit of the old Fae stories (the scary shit, not the light fairy tales), where words have power, and how you word things is EVERYTHING when it comes to controlling them. Even with the names and knowing a true name having power over you. Tomura Shigaraki was no longer his true name, so it had no effect, because he no longer knew who he was anymore.

Regarding hindsight merchants and Toga: Toga was an immensely popular character long before she had a hint of backstory in the manga. Some people just like villains (sympathetic or not), some people like Yandere tropes, some people are just.. well - the target demographic, teenagers, and they like edgy things. I can't necessarily explain why people are fascinated with her, but I believe she is the highest ranked character on Mudae for the series, just as a barometer for how well liked she is.

Star / Cathleen is really cool for a one off character, her quirk is actually super well balanced for being so incredibly strong. I remember her reveal and how it ended for her during the manga people were very angry because everyone thought she was gonna be a major player for a while. I'm glad she got to shine though for these 2 episodes. I just wish the Mangaka wasn't rushed so hard during the season 6 arc for Dark Deku, plus Star and Stripes arc in 7. Ngl,years ago i got the spy identity spoiled,however in the manga the chapter ends with the Hagakure fakeout so thats all i knew,so all the following years i was just carrying that in the back of my head while watching the anime and trying to find any clue or hint at that reveal down the line,then once i started focusing on individual characters and their actions i kept noticing how weird Aoyama was and kept trying to convince myself he was the spy and not her just so i could fool myself in to forgetting what at the time i thought was a massive spoiler,imagine my surprise when i saw the episode,i was yelling like crazy. Reminded me of that one time i spoiled myself with an Erwin Smith fan art of him with a new titan muscle looking arm waaaay before season 3 even aired,i was pissed,its what motivated me to read the manga,imagine my surprise when i reached the midnight sun chapter and it turned out to be just a "what if" fan art,the conflict of who gets the titan serum felt 100 times more crazy to me. Anyways,keep your seatbelts fastened boys,it wont stop from here.
