2025-09-23 06:49:45 +0000 UTCAlthough I kinda wish that the season adapted just one more chapter to leave off with less of a cliff hanger I think it’s worth it in the long run because they’ve done such a great job adapting the source material and even adding on to it with so much anime original content along it made me so happy seeing the volume extra where Okarun turns Jiji back to normal and bring the kaiju with them to the house animated and makes me so excited for seeing some of the other fun volume extras get adapted!

2025-09-23 06:43:33 +0000 UTCIt’ll definitely be a long wait until season 3 but it might be a longer season than just 12 episodes as some of the production team hinted that they might fully adapt the next arc which has more chapters than they’ve animated in a single season (the next arc is 46 chapters long compared to the 36 chapters adapted in season 1 and the 35 in season 2) so fingers crossed for that 🤞🙏

2025-09-23 06:24:10 +0000 UTCMcKay I 100% would not use this as a starter anime, if you really sit and think about season 1, the first episode is momo literally about to be sexually assaulted by aliens. I feel like stuff like the gooner side of anime and little bits of fan service etc, are only something you can really start to ignore or appreciate once you've got quite a few under your belt and get the jist of what anime is like. Starting with something like this is what tends to put people off anime and makes them think it's weird, especially with all the snippets of underage nudity in season 1 💀😂 I totally understand what you mean though in terms of the show having literally everything, such as romance, fighting, action, aliens, ghosts, the supernatural, kaiju, meccas, literally everything you can think of is included in the show which makes it a good all rounded show and so many people definitely have missed out by judging it in the first few episode of season 1 and dropping it.

2025-09-23 06:02:52 +0000 UTCThe only reason that season 1 and 2 were released so close together is because it was originally meant to be a 24 episode season but it was split into two cours. So now the gap between what's technically season 2 and season 3 will be the same as a normal anime instead of the 6 months that we had between the first two. The studio are working on their remake of Ghost in the Shell and will be focusing on that as far as I'm aware at the minute.

I know it's on purpose, but maybe I like the traditional way better. Anyway, next season is probably one of the best peaks of anime! Ty for watching this peak with us, Geks!!

Trust me when I say yall are only in the “east blue” of the show. Imagine world building with multi-dimension beings/planets. It’s one piece but with good pacing.
