2025-08-22 21:15:14 +0000 UTCYeah, Saber’s Luck is basically her plot armor. It’s not just story convenience tho ,high Luck actually affects how attacks hit in the Nasuverse. That’s why Gáe Bolg doesn’t insta kill her it just grazes her heart instead. Same with Assassin’s broken sword her timing only worked out pretty much because of her Luck. Even under Shirou she survives stuff that should kill her, and with Rin boosting her Luck to A+, it’s basically unfair. That Luck also helps her hang on long enough to use Avalon if she needs it. So yeah, she has some insane luck but it can't just be called "plot-armor" imo it's actually a real mechanic in the Nasuverse

2025-08-22 18:52:24 +0000 UTCSaber has in-story plot armor, her high Luck stat. Like all her base stats, it varies by master skill. With Shirou (a mediocre master at best) it’s B. With Rin (a genius and generational talent, one day will be ranked in the top 100 mages, all time according to the guy who wrote Fate), Saber’s luck stat is A+. With Saber’s luck, she can tank Lancer’s gae bolg, which when thrown as a counter attack is guaranteed to strike the opponents’ heart. Because she’s lucky, the spear ends up just grazing her heart. And the shot to Assassin’s broken sword is another example of Saber’s luck. She was only able to find that small opening because the chipped blade affected the trajectory of the sword slashes.
