He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and never experienced something as awful as her. You are making him sound like a creep haha. I think Doyeong is scared to lose Yesol who is not his by blood in case of divorce. Usually moms have upper hand in child custody during divorce, idk how is it in Korea. In my country children under 12 automatically go to mom (unless she is not well or in prison) and 12+ they can make a decision with which parent they want to stay. I was unwell watching auntie abuse scenes, but unfortunately this is the reality of many women in Korea and around the world, so its portrayal is an important subject to bring up in the shows like this, alongside school bullying. Imagine how many people saw themselves watching this, I hope they got scared that their wives might also be preparing their murder.

Yeah, I get they have to remind the audience but the scenes were too long and drawn out for my liking. We've seen it happen before and how bad it is so we have an idea of what goes on. At some point, to me, it turns from striking an emotional chord in the audience to glorifying the violence in a way. It could have been edited down a little bit just to let us know it happened again but we didn't need to watch a whole 15min of her getting beaten. I also felt disappointed from Do-Yeong's response of "I'm not going to leave Yeon-jin" but when I read on Youtube why some people thought he said that, I got it. I don't want to say because maybe you guys will figure it out too. I don't know. Also, Cannon, he was pretty sympathetic at first when he asks if the scars still hurt her but Dong-eun wanted to get to the point. Next episode is my favorite! 😈😁

2025-08-19 20:26:43 +0000 UTCOnce you realize that this whole plan is just one big game of Go, it becomes more clear why Dong-eun loves the game, and why she’s been able to roll with all the upsets or changes in her plans. She might’ve just learned the game in order to get to Doyeong, but I think learning to play and WIN at Go is her saving grace. In that way, she and Yeojeong are kind of each others salvation. The slow burn is so tough, but I love seeing the progression of their relationship, especially because it shows how they fit together with all of their broken pieces and support each other.

They’re all very complex and have their own insecurities/hardships, but you don’t feel bad about anything they walk into because there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that they 100% deserve it.

The actor for the husband said it was because his character still wanted to keep meeting Moon. His character expected that once he's out of the picture, then she wouldn't have a reason left to see him anymore. Everyone talks about the husband and Dong-eun's chemistry, well the actor himself said that he felt Mr. Ha actually did start to come to like Dongeun.

She completely embodied her character as Yeon-jin. When you look at her face and smirk, all you see is someone vile, evil, conniving, vain, psychotic, and manipulative. I can see why she won an award for this particular role. Props to her!! And it was pretty funny when McKay mentioned that her and the actor, that plays Yeo-jeong, Lee Do Hyun are dating in real life. The shock and look of absolute betrayal on Cannon's face was priceless poor guy. Ya'll I know it's hard to believe but she's actually a sweet person off camera haha Still, I have to remind myself that they're only acting.

From what I understand, it's not easy to leave the husband because the woman ends up getting blamed. Usually, the wife would hear something like "maybe you are not a good wife..." and the worst that could happen is her own family (parents, siblings) would turn their backs on her. They really balance each other and find connection and comfort in each others words and presence. When you're in a tense time in your life where things are full of uncertainty, it's nice to have someone like him to stand by your side to catch you if you fall. It's cute how smitten and deeply in love he is with our savage queen. You can tell he truly cares about and vice versa.

Miss Kang is such a strong woman to endure that abuse all her life from her dead beat rat of a husband. Shibal!!! Every hit and punch made me squirm so freaking bad. I want him to rot in a ditch somewhere, please. Goodness, this show is so good, it actually makes you think these characters are pure evil. They play their roles perfectly. That's when you know the acting is top notch. Hang in there guys. I knew her story would be incredibly heavy for you guys but I also love and admire how brave she is and how she can still hold on to hope even when time seems like it's dwindling by... She tries to and keep her smile and be optimistic. Miss Kang is one of my favorite characters. The actress that plays her is a well known name in the industry. Every role she plays, she brings new life into the characters and makes them uniquely her own. But all the cast of this phenomenal show did an outstanding job in portraying their roles.
