Great reaction as always. I really love Brooke, he just amuses me and I love how instantly he got along with Luffy. I think that witnessing Zoro and Sanji’s dedication to the crew made Brooke appreciate Luffy and them even more. Knowing he spent 50 years or so alone just drives home the slight moments of insanity that often escape him. Like what led the zombies to call him “The Humming Swordman” in the first place. I wish you could catch up and then come back to look at your intros and end discussions. It’d be fun to see yall react to that lmao.

I think Bink's sake is one of the only songs to make me feel sad and happy at the same time 😭 Also, Haylo and Kiss had the exact same problem with people hinting at things for future episodes or confirming theories the girls had in their discussions and they had to tell people to stop because it counts as spoilers!! It's nice that people are so lively and excited in the comments and want the guys to get hype too but it ends up somewhat dulling the reaction because the guys know what's coming or have certain expectations. I'm just supporting the comments asking for mods cause with one piece still airing and with the upcoming arcs i feel like it's gonna get worse.

I feel next Thursday would be the perfect time to watch Strong World and maybe it's Ep. 0. As far as I know it's the only movie Oda completely wrote the story for, which is why the characters appearing in it are canon (though not them meeting the Straw Hats). It's also placed right between TB and the next island. I think you would really appreciate a crew adventure, before we dive into the next arc 👀

To be fair, it's not really an understatement that Zoro might be the best one in the crew at taking damage. Luffy's the only one other than him that might be number one in that specific aspect of fighting. In fact I'd say that Zoro's and Luffy's levels of toughness are somewhat interchangeable. And before you just brush this off as Zoro fanboying, remember that Zoro was already on his last legs both in how much damage he had taken and how much energy he had left. Remember that Zoro told Kuma that his body wouldn't obey him anymore. And then he took on all of Luffy's pain and damage on top of that.

So kuma’s fruit is basically repel fruit however it comes from the fact that paws especially bear paws ( bear in Japanese is kuma) are specifically used to repel/absorb impacts, this idea is then taken and magnified into that it can repel/absorb absolutely anything, like how kuma repelled luffy’s pain out of the body, so the idea of the fruit isnt arbitrary to kuma however the fruit itself is made for kuma ie bear taking into that account unlike how other fruits have no relation to the user bear and paws go hand in hand.

Just a little appreciation post for the Geks, watching One Piece knowing that there are 1000+ episodes is a Goliath of a task; add the slower pacing of the earlier archs, some not so amazing animation and fights and it wouldn’t be unreasonable for anyone to think, hey this isn’t something I wanna dedicate 100s of hours of my life to. So the fact that you four have been so amazing at powering through and providing us with content day in and day out does not go unnoticed and though appreciation should be vocalized more often, I hope you know how much this community adores you and all that you’ve done thus far. With that said, what’s to come in the next archs made many of us come to realize what we were witnessing and had/have the privilege of reading/and or watching is one of the greatest stories ever told. Speaking of Buggy, I believe Oda did once say smth about how he could be incredibly strong if he trained 😭 so basically a df on its own doesn’t make you strong, the way you use it and train it does. And about McKay’s point, the fruits def aren’t grounded, even in universe there’s lots of mystic to them. This point comes up plenty of times so it’s honestly great to ask questions and ponder about them. Kuma’s fruit being named repel does make more sense in English but in Japanese it’s a play on words due to his name meaning “Bear”.
