I'd really suggest one of BTS's older releases!! Dynamite and Butter were more targeted towards the western market, so they're a bit more "trendy" and fully English. My favorites are personally BTS's releases from 2015-2017 (i.e. I Need U, Run, Spring Day). Overall, I love all of their releases but BTS definitely has a huge range. They have a lot of songs that are pretty drastically different from what you guys have seen before.

BTS >> I don't see this being mentioned but also consider " I NEED YOU (original version) (2015) " .. This was their turning point. The song that made mainstream korea opened their eyes. They stopped being “those rookie boys with sharp choreo” and became storytellers.. It showed BTS could act and embody delicate, emotional characters, which later made their narrative-heavy MVs like “Run” and “Blood Sweat & Tears” even more impactful.

From what I’ve seen in this comments and what you guys said, this can go 3 ways (for bts): 1. Do a similar video comparing 2 songs from bp and bts. I think there’s no problem with that, pretty fun. There’re a lot of good recs of comparisons in this comment section. E.g. Fake love vs. Kill this love; Mic drop vs. Ddu du ddu du; On (kinetic manifesto) vs. Pink venom. I would suggest just taking more songs and making a longer vid next time (like please, it’s not that long🙏🏼). You can also maybe compare choreos/performances? 2. Watch 2-3 mvs (or hopefully a marathon of mvs🥹) in one vid. Again, good recs in this comment section: fake love, black swan, mic drop, on (kinetic manifesto), dna, etc. For this one I suggest watching choreo vids on the side too. You don’t realise how entertaining those are. 3. Just go into the documentary For this I suggest “guide to bts members: bangtan 7” by Taylor marie, which I think you’ve already seen suggested the most. I would actually be satisfied with this option a lot, since it’s what you said you want (or need) to do next, and it’s gonna make you HOOKED and appreciate their art and story more. All of the options are great. In my opinion, though, 2nd option’s the best for the next vid, and only then documentary. But considering that you’re doing kpop reactions once in a couple of weeks and you also need to satisfy the bp fans too, I think just delving into the documentary is the best option.

But to be fair to both, I’m not really sure it’s best to use a “same/similar vibe” measurement as a comparison because their core artistic approaches are different, even when they both aim for something upbeat or flashy, for example. FYI, most K-pop "title tracks" have both music videos and dance practice videos. A lot of the times b-sides (other songs in the album that's not promoted) don't have any music videos but have fanmade lyric videos, so it'll be cool to see you guys react to b-sides in the future!

It's a quick watch. And you don't have to had watched 300 eps beforehand. If someone isn't caught up of doesn't want to rewatch Naruto then they won't comment. Barrier of entry for one single song is ways easier. Also people that don't actively haven't listened to kpop prolly still know some through reels or something so a little base familiarity is there. I feel like we really need to see some throwbacks to BU+ (I talked about this in the last BTS reaction, but they have some music videos with connected storylines) era type music videos like 'Run', 'Blood, Sweat, and Tears', and 'Fake Love' for more of that cinematic vibe too! Really you can't go wrong with BTS I feel, but I'd like to see reactions to more than their english releases! Their debut era music videos are wild though and idk if I'm ready for that LMAO (the songs are good and an incredibly different vibe as well, but the styling and how young they were is such whiplash haha) "that's the guy that I liked from the last one" - They both wore orange tinted glasses in the each video, but wrong member Cannon! 😆 The one you liked last in Dynamite was J-hope, who had blonde hair here! "some other K-pop band that has like 20" - I think you're referring to NCT (who I'm also a fan of) who has 26 members now, but to be fair they don't often perform all together! They have several different units and sub units ('NCT 127', 'NCT Dream', 'NCT U', 'WayV' their Chinese unit, 'NCT Wish' their Japanese unit, etc.) that they usually promote as with varying amounts of members, and some members overlapping into multiple of them~

Also I hope this format isn't too annoying, but I'm just gonna quote specific parts of the reaction to make it easier for me lmao "they look a lot different every time" - Yes! K-pop groups are known for really switching up their members looks for each comeback, not just in terms of outfits and makeup but often times totally restyling their hair with cuts/extensions/hair dye etc. They even tend to use a lot of color contacts and such, so with all that people often take a bit to start getting all the members down but once ya got em ya got em lol "do they all rap or just one?" - More of a general answer but K-pop groups are also known to advertise themselves with certain role assignments too, this includes things like 'singer/rapper/dancer' to even things like 'visual' (which is like...just to say they're extra pretty? idk, lmao) and can include things like 'main/lead/sub' as an additional part of their title (ex: 'main rapper', 'lead dancer', etc.) to show how prominent they're intended to be in that role. Some groups stick to this fairly strictly, while others may wander a bit more (I feel like this is more common in more self produced groups, like Stray Kids 🫶🏻 and somewhat BTS) but often stay in the vein of their original talents - In terms of Blackpink while I like the music I've heard I never really got into the group or members so I'm no expert, but to my understanding Lisa and Jennie are both credited as the groups rappers (I'm part 1-ing this so the comment doesn't get too long...lol)

Comparing videos with very different vibes might not do them justice, since K-pop groups can have a completely different feel from song to song. Their music videos are fun, but the energy from their live performances is on another level. I especially recommend their Yet to Come concert on Amazon Prime. I can't wait for them to react to BTS's variety shows and clips that show their personalities because it is a large part why the group got so famous and they basically revolutionised this aspect in Kpop and arguably even Western fandoms. Before it was custom for idols to only show their perfect selves to their fans and they only showed more personality on TV broadcast entertainment shows but BTS were the first to establish their YouTube and Twitter accounts as ways to directly communicate with the fans and show almost everything about their process. Not only that, but they also showcased their struggles and wrote that into their songs, being among the first few groups that have had direct involvement in their music rather than getting stuff from producers (obviously there have been many before such as BigBang). Dynamite and Butter are great, but they released them later on into their career when they were breaking into the Western Market, hence the all English. One of the best things about BTS is their rap line. RM, Suga, and J-Hope all came from the underground scene, so their skills and lyricism are on another level. They write and produce majority of their music, with lyrics that can be both fun or incredibly deep. In k-pop, companies often train idols to rap if they can’t sing, but BTS has actual rappers who’ve even addressed this controversy in their songs—Suga especially. If you respect rap or hip-hop, their discography is full of proof why they stand out in this regard.

To be fair, you shouldn't do BTS English songs; those aren't their best songs, those are only for the general public, which aren't meaningful and don't represent them much. For K-POP you have to react to their K-Pop music, with korean lyrics in which if you really want to understand a song, you have to read the translation, the storyteling and meaning behind the music is meaningful which is why many people connect with them, but if you're just into the visual and beats then yeah, other groups are better, maybe...

Please listen to their Korean songs: Mic Drop, On (kinetic manifesto), Black Swan. Also comparing BlackPink and BTS is funny, they are not even on the same level.

if youre done with bts/blackpink i'd love seventeen. They are concept heavy and have great choreos. A MV and choreography video one after the other would be so cool. They're the "theater kids" of kpop. The other "big" girl group would be twice. They both have an ungodly amount of members.

Mic drop-BTS would definitely surprised you guys as you only have watched 2 full english videos of them but also On-BTS, Black Swam-BTS are also so good performance wise but genuine speaking all of their MVS have great performance’s and dancing. (Make sure to also turn on Captions for other songs that have korean on them the lyrics are pretty good!) and Guide to BTS made by taylor explains all their journey and how far they gotten (it’s english subtitles)

Ddu du ddu du, and How you like that were the beginning of my fallout with k-pop. It all started to be this sort of fast fashion of the music industry. Throwing any lyrics or noises at this point with a cool beat and call it a day. Like don’t get me wrong, I love a good pop song but I’d appreciate more lyrical efforts 😭😭

I think doing a “vs” video is totally harmless and a fun idea, but fanwars in k-pop do get kind of intense sometimes lol. That’s probably why a lot of people are suggesting separate batch videos for each group, just to look out for you guys and the channel.

I’ve been following them since their very first SNK reactions, because it’s my all-time favorite anime. Now that they’re reacting to BTS, it honestly feels like I’m reliving the same excitement I had with SNK just in a different way. Sure, the BTS content comes a bit less often and the wait feels longer, but my god, the joy I feel when I see “BTS” pop up in their notifications is priceless.
