Recall the Quirk Singularity Doomsday theory they've mentioned a couple episodes ago and in the ep where the kindergarteners were in - Quirks continue to grow and evolve with each generation. This has so many implications for Deku and his development, and I can't wait to see how you react to it all as the show goes on!

I know you guys get the themes and are just questioning the logic, but the show does explain it. A lot of the answers tie into OFA’s stockpiling nature and the original user’s quirk, and I’ve read some great comments under this vid that break it down really well too.

It is a theory called the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory, which basically says that since quirks get stronger with each new generation it will come to a point when quirks will be uncontrollable and destroy society. The singularity point in the case of One for All is the point when the quirk got so strong that it allowed Deku to tap into the quirks of the other users.

It just happens to come immediately after 4 which is so well loved bc of the Overhaul arc and Endeavor popping off that it feels like a letdown. But by no means is 5 bad imo. It has a lot of necessary plot elements that really pay off in the later seasons glad you guys are enjoying it regardless of what you have heard about it

Since they did mention earlier that with each generation quirks get stronger. Now have a person with 6 generations of quirks that all get boosted by a strength enhancer quirk, and i wonder why the singularity point wasnt earlier haha

2025-08-07 12:46:14 +0000 UTCAs far as characters feeling like they’re put on “pause,” I’m fine with it since at least all the characters get to hit “play” again at some point, and it’s unrealistic that everyone stays in focus. I think MHA handles a big cast better than some others, and doesn’t shy away from introducing new characters. It’s obviously a criticism of the show that characters can go silent, but personally I’m fine with it since no characters are forgotten and the spot light comes back around eventually. Just my take on it tho, although I know when some of my fav characters will show up again so maybe it’s easier not seeing them with hindsight

I liked Todoroki shonen the most on the first watch and he's one of my faves still. I swear I always like the fire characters the most. Even Endeavor on this rewatch is much more close to my fave characters.

Maybe without all might it would have taken even longer. I think the threshold was broken when deku had his dream and activated one for all uncounciously and not in this match

The first wielder had what became One for All. Including this new guy's quirk named Blackwhip, there are six quirks locked inside One for All.

That would be like challenging Iida to a race when your quirk has nothing to do with speed. Yes work on your weaknesses, but like Hawks set, don't forget to focus on what you're good at, and that's what he did. He made heat to crazy even Tetsutetsu who trained inside an oven was being overwhelmed. Honenuki jumping in is the only reason it wasn't a decisive victory for Todoroki

I updated the last movie's position because I thought it might be too jarring to interrupt S7 with the movie, but honestly, it's up to the Geks! If y'all wanna watch the movie in btw S7, you can watch it after 7x4 and before 7x5:) Season 5 (Ep 1 to 12) -> Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 5 (Ep 13 to 25) -> Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 6 -> Season 7 -> Movie 4: You're Next Something to note is that Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5. So originally, the last two arcs should have been in the opposite order from what is presented in the anime. Just for you guys to know, movie 2's events are supposed to happen after the last arc in S5 (which was supposed to come before the second arc of S5). And accordingly, movie 3's events are supposed to happen during the second arc of S5 (which was supposed to come after the last arc of S5).

I'm such a sucker for good voice acting cause the highlight of these episodes for me was just Uraraka's line at 36:39, the way her voice raises and cracks towards the end of the line, it's just so GOOD like it actually sounds like someone trying to get a sentence out while exerting all their strength struggling with something, I genuinely don't get how these VAs do it, but as expected of Ayaneru, she's been one of my fav VAs for a long time Back when you's were on like S2 you's were asking something about One For All and I left a comment saying we couldn't really explain anything without spoiling basically everything and I think you see what I mean now lol, imagine trying to tip toe around the fact that One For All carries multiple quirks with it Anyways now that I'm juicy tier for the Minecraft server time to go watch the fate reactions

2025-08-07 04:14:48 +0000 UTCKatsuki's character development throughout the series is something that I will never shut up about because HOW do you go from someone who's so prideful he doesn't want to admit that he's scared of being overtaken by his childhood friend turned enemy; someone with both a superiority and inferiority complex towards that SAME childhood friend, and who refuses to march to the beat of anyone else's drum but his own, even if it means destroying his future, his body, his mind – how do you go from that to someone who puts down his stubbornness and difficulty getting along with people to willingly cooperate with them for the win; someone who says the words "When you're in danger, I'll save you. And when I'M in danger, you guys SAVE ME." without hesitation when before, he would have NEVER let anyone come to his "rescue" whether in a real fight or a class practice. Katsuki telling his team that he'll save them is a foregone conclusion, because after the provisional license exam and his fight with Izuku at Ground Beta in S3, winning isn't just about beating his opponent in a fight anymore. Before, he would have focused on claiming victory by himself, because he knows he's better than the others when it comes to close combat and mobility. He would have taken all the responsibility of capturing the other team by himself, with maybe his teammates lagging behind to provide information or leftover support. But now, his requirements for being "the best" and "winning" have evolved and now include a lot more conditions: 1. that he win within the boundaries of what is allowed during the practice (aka not causing more damage than he needs to the surroundings, a problem that he is prone to because of how destructive his quirk can be) 2. that his teammates are NOT incapacitated in the process of them winning (aka none of them get captured by the opposing team) and 3. that none of his teammates get injured during the fight (aka he uses his own exceptional combat ability to shield his weaker but no less useful teammates from attacks from opponents). His version of victory – the one Izuku told him he looks up to and strives to be – now encompasses conditions that don't put HIM and HIS feelings in the priority, unlike before. And I think that's such a great way of showing his leadership. Because while Katsuki might complain about his teammates to them (E.g. "You're too slow!") and give orders in a less than amicable manner (E.g. "Ears! Search!"), he never underestimates them. In fact, he knows exactly what their strengths are and HOW to use them. He's hard on himself and his team because his expectations of them are high, and why are they so high? Because he RESPECTS them, he sees what they can do on the battlefield to support him fully, and he demands they be able to do what they're good at so that their whole team wins under his leadership. Katsuki's personality doesn't allow him to coddle and give time for niceties, and his pride doesn't let him say that he trusts them enough to do their own thing while he goes off to do the things they can't do. So the fact that he told them "When I'm in danger, you guys SAVE me." speaks volumes about how far he's come. Because S1 Katsuki would have balked at the idea of him needing to be saved. Because All Might is the strongest, and he doesn't need saving. He was always the one saving, and Katsuki wants to surpass that, so he must be all that and better. But he's NOT All Might, and he understands that. Because he DID need saving when the League of Villains kidnapped him and he was on the verge of getting dragged away from the rescue team. So he changed his mindset, his direction, his execution of the victory he so values. S5 Katsuki is not only a new him, it's a better him, a stronger him. And we love that for him. What Horikoshi did with Katsuki's character in just 5 seasons will never cease to amaze me. He went from a hated bully, to a crash out king, to a ball of obsessive inferiority complex, to a grudging rival. That is crazy considering he hardly appeared in the second half of S3 and the entirety of S4.

One For All at its core was a Quirk to pass on quirks, the first quirk “collected” was Power Accumulation, that’s the most powerful one and what All Might took to its limits. As it got passed along tho each users Quirk also got “collected” and passed on by each user (since at its core OfA is just the ability to pass on quirks, any amount of them quirks)

All in all I totally agree - one of the downfalls of a series with a huge cast is that a lot of characters don't get very much screentime, and sometimes little development at all. I think you guys will be mostly satisfied liking relatively major/main characters, but it does take some time. As someone who kept up with the manga until it ended, I got to feel this side-chara sadness a lot with some characters (like Shinsou) and lucked out with others (my favorite character being Bakugou). I hope all in all that yall will be satisfied with the moments to come, as there are some pretty spectacular ones - and that you know now after episode 10 that the lore you have is just the tip of the iceberg... :~)

(This is the definitive order) As for filler episodes EPISODE 16 IS FILLER now it’s not terrible filler it’s a quick wholesome ep that slightly eludes to the third movie but thats about it nothing of real importance too the plot. if you were to do a triple drop this season I’d maybe put it there or you can skip it I don’t think many people would really care. Now this is REALLY IMPORTANT season 6 and season 7 EPISODES 1s ARE NOT FILLER after 5x16 there are no more filler episodes in my hero, so please remember NOT too skip 6x1 and 7x1 as they are very important eps :))))))
