how i see the scene with david is, david was just sieun's guilt personified in his head. jack noticed something a lot of people dont, and it's the fact that sieun teared up from his left eye and david from his right. like...david IS sieuns guilt inside his head, telling him to be alone and trying to make him feel "guilty" for moving on to new friends, "leaving behind" suho and david. so at the end, sieun had to let go of david (let go of his guilt) and go back to his friends, and to suho. and he did when he let go of david's hand. this is actually one of my favourite episodes this season exactly for that scene. it's so cinematically beautiful.

once you guys are finished with weak hero, i’d really recommend checking out the show ‘twinkling watermelon’! the main characters are played by suho and baku - don’t let the title fool you, it’s absolutely hilarious but also will 100% emotionally wreck you. their chemistry is incredible so if you’re wondering what a suho-baku dynamic might look like, i’d highly recommend it :)

Well said, Saida!:-) That dream sequence with them in the boxing ring really hit the emotions for me. It showed more of Si-eun’s healing and getting past his trauma and guilt of Suho and Beomseok. And Hong Kyung (Beomseok) is such an outstanding actor. I still feel bad for Beomseok and how things went down. He’s such a complex character, a complete mixed bag.

when i watched this episode i was so surprised to see david again. with what happened to suho, i never thought si-eun had any room for guilt towards beomseok. for me, this episode showed us why we shouldn't see david as a villain; after suho, si-eun has so many reasons to hate him and yet he doesn't. that doesn't mean he should feel guilty for anything that happened though, si-eun did nothing to lead david on the path he ended up on; it just goes to show what kind of person si-eun is to even have the capacity for guilt in this situation in first place. anyway, it was nice to see beomseok's actor again!!!

I really love this scene when Baku blows Baekjin's cover and announces his Union persona in front of the whole school and the devilish grin on the Vampire King's face. He's never been challenged like that before. He's surprised but up for the challenge. It's like a game of cat and mouse between the two of them or like a wolf versus a vampire. Haha The union showdown is pretty epic. It has more of my favorite fighting in it along with the intense music to bring even more tension in the air. You guys are going to love it. Hope that didn't spoil anything. I've been trying to be more careful and considerate in regards to that. Even in the webtoon, BAKU is just as strong as he’s shown in the K-drama. Every opponent in Webtoon would always say the same thing after fighting him: ''HOW IS HE STILL STANDING". I love how they portrayed Powerful BAKU exactly like the webtoon. Also, I love how well actor Ryeoun played the role of BAKU — he did an amazing job. BAKU’s punches are described as rock-like in the webtoon, which is why in the K-drama too, his punches seem incredibly powerful. He’s really strong, but BAEK JIN is slightly stronger than him in both the webtoon and the drama — because BAEK JIN has strength also brain. Still, both of them are amazing characters.

The director told Nara (Baekjin) to stay in character, appear brave as Baekjin on the outside like he usually does while subtly showing fear to show that he's still a kid. What’s interesting is Baku’s reaction to sieun being in a coma is the same as sieun’s reaction to suho being in a coma. It’s like it’s showing the endless cycle of everything happening. Interesting fact about the actor for Baek Jin (Bae Nara): is he stated that the director told him no matter what happens, to never move, to hold still, hold firm, do not show fear or flinch when he was filming the scene where choi threw the bowling pin at him and broke the ceiling light. He said it was so hard for him not to move or almost scream because it scared tf outta him and had his heart racing. And also, the bowling pin hitting the sign and knocking it down was an accident, it wasn’t supposed to happen. Lol.

Jun-tae kept his integrity despite the beatings & threat of death. This is a contrast to Seong-je & Baek-jin's relationship. Yes, totally different relationship dynamic; however, even Seong-je expected more from him since they're on the same side. Baek-jin never asked him if he was okay. All Seong-je received was suspicion & threat. He respects & is envious of Si-eun, Jun-tae, Baku, & Gotak's friendship & unity. 🧡✊️

That moment when Si-eun is walking the halls of the hospital talking to Suho in his head on how he forgot what it's like to have friends, what it's like to laugh is such a beautiful moment and shows more of his emotional growth. He's putting down his barriers to finally allow himself to feel happiness without the pending guilt. Suho will always hold first priority over his mind. Their friendship/bond is unbreakable and will always be beautiful.

i have two theories as to why beomseok was with sieun during his mini coma 1) beomseok is dead and is visiting sieun, trying to make him stay behind with him. sieun going against him and saying he has to return to his friends and suho is what wakes him up since beomseok was what was keeping him under the sleep . the reason i think beomseok is dead is because beomseok’s dad had said that he would send someone to kill him once he moves to the Philippines 2) beomseok (along with the boxing ring which sieun has dreamt about before. it’s really interesting to show sieun inside the ring like he’s stuck there when in reality he never even stepped foot in the building where it happen) represents his trauma and guilt of what happen to suho. it’s what has been holding him back from making friends and why he can’t sleep. you can see this in the way beomseok says stuff like “they’ll end up just like us” which makes sieun reluctant to make and keep friends. sieun waking up is him putting (a least a bit of) his guilt and trauma behind.

34:11 it's Sieun's guilt. David represents his guilt and his grief. He needs to let it go. That's why he saw Baku, Tak, and Juntae having bbq by themselves, because while he was at the moment it happened, he was constantly being dragged down by the guilt, which made him feel isolated.

This episode hits so hard. I cried when Baku broke down from all the pain and emotions he's been carrying inside trying to conceal it until he no longer could. I love how he has such a strong connection to Si-eun and understands him. They both have been going through grief and trauma... trying to suppress it the best they can giving their similar situations. It was also nice to see his vulnerable side under his hard tough exterior. There's a deeper side to him than meets the eye. Also that scene where he punches through the glass of the motorcycle guy's helmet/visor causing him to fall off will live forever in my mind.
