1v1 against a baby 😂😂 knife fight

Fatipapi (Endeavor’s Wife)

1:00:43 all 4 mouths just going 😮 like baby birds waiting for a worm 😂😂😂

Fatipapi (Endeavor’s Wife)

it reminds me of the meme about men thinking they can safely land a plane lmaooo

becca

I don't know if I could make it across. I don't think it's as easy as Carter thinks it is. Plus, if you fall you die. It's not like you fall onto a foam mat. The VIP dialogue is weird. I was thrown off when I saw them in the uniforms. The guy pushing people off is a rat.

Jenny D

Carter’s confidence in this game kills me 😂 «I wish I was in the show right now” and “Give me a baby” are insane hahah

Vlad Lena

“They’re not gonna kill the baby in the show.” — Honestly, I thought that too before this season started, but in this episode I started to doubt it 🙈 And I love how you’re always annoyed with the VIPs 😂

Vlad Lena

i think they sort of built up to the fact that she doesnt know her son as well as she thought she did (or thought more highly of him than she should, obvs shes his mother but yeah) like during mingle when he doesn't try hard enough to save her and frontman mentions it in the room. plus she sees him literally willing to kill an innocent mother to save himself. so i think she sees that junhee is more "worth saving" in terms of objectively, and ofc it was also a rash decision to save the baby

Paul

Netflix has been doing that lately with viral shows so you cannot binge it then unsubscribe. They want to keep their customer around longer.

Sari-chan

I was a bit worried but I could not imagine the two die there. I felt the plot armor on this one

Sari-chan

I know I always hate these randos in K or J-dramas.

Sari-chan

The baby is half Mom half Dad and both are in the game. Also the baby started as "a part of the Mom" when she signed up for it.

Sari-chan

I know you guys have been watching a lot of thriller, bully, and serious type k-dramas lately which I still enjoy! But I hope next you guys can react to a rom/com kdrama that is a bit more light than your usual reactions! I would suggest lovely runner, Business proposal, true beauty, and what’s wrong with secretary kim as some really popular and good options! Lovely runner is my personal favorite

C.K

Also think they are supposed to be caricature of the show viewers. Like some of the things the vips say are word for word what people comment on Reddit/Patreon/other react sites. They make them overuse cringy English expressions as well. I'm pretty sure they are just trying to make fun of western viewers. The VIP calling 149 stupid for killing her son to save a "stranger" and newborn is exactly like one of the most common complaints I've seen people comment on that episode, calling it bad writing. It just shows how unempathetic some people are that they still think it's dumb writing that the mom did that, and then the very next episode the show is ridiculing someone as a sociopath for having that opinion. Squid game knows it's audience and uses it as part of it's writing to reinforce the social commentary. People complain the show is unrealistic, but can anyone argue something like this wouldn't make tons of money if it were real after seeing the viewership this show has? Or that people wouldn't act like this or worse in games like this if they were real? On top of that Asian shows/movies almost always dub over their live action after recording instead of just recording the sound while they act out the scene, which adds another layer of it feeling weird because the lip synch is ever so slightly off. Everything about it just makes it feel distasteful/wrong when you listen to the VIPs talk and it is definitely on purpose.

Oromis

this has been said before and Carter replied too!!!

Billie

There are actually real life squid games in Korea. They do it as promotion for the show and I have seen a lot of people going and playing these.

S Moonchild

I think the squid game episodes are sporadic but I think they mentioned they just came back from a trip which is why they haven’t uploaded/reacted to more episodes

allen

One minute easy

Sasha (Trump is Daddy)

I’m gonna need y’all to set up a dedicated trash can camera ASAP. I wanna know the score and who’s the Lebron of bottle tossing.

BipolarKitten

is there a schedule to the squid game and weak hero drops? or are they sporadic

Billie

The VIP’s still sound bad, but I think it’s cause they are supposed to be. I would imagine that the average trust fund kid who inherits their parents company would also use weird language cause they probably don’t understand societal norms, have different tastes/experiences compared to the average person, that make them so disconnected from normal people.

alex anderson

I only played the Roblox squid game once and it was so funny I need the geks to play

Billie

there is a squid game map in roblox where u can actually be a rat and sabotage people by pushing them

Kim555

im acc annoyed I dont even want to continue watching this show

Billie

I AUDIBLY GASPED WHAT

Billie

The VIPs talk how I hear dubbed anime

Kim555

I actually liked 124 since s2 bc the actor was so good at playing the character so I looked forward to seeing more of him in s3 and he did not disappoint.

Ashley K

Everybody lost their mind in this season

Floo

I was sleeping 😭

𝑭

Player 124 is one of my favorites in the entire show, but not because he's very likable, ofc lol. I was kind of hoping for a "redemption" arc, or whatever the closest thing to that would be for him. Once I realized he was going to die, I hoped he would embrace death by giving up after seeing the ecstasy was gone lol. I found it kind of silly how he couldn't wait to cross before trying to take some.

TheSauceGuy

Am I crazy for thinking that Young-sik was going to try to kill Jun-hee and not the baby? Regardless, I found it odd that his mother would choose to save either of them over her son, especially when she was willing to die herself. I chalked it up to an impulsive reaction out of fear for the baby's safety, but if she thought he was going for Jun-hee, then I don't get it, but it's a tough decision. I feel like inaction would be easier here for her than action. RIP to all of the people who died for the entertainment of some rich scum.

TheSauceGuy

The baby being considered a player doesn't make sense to me from the game "rules" standpoint; I wonder if that's ever happened before in the games or not. Regardless, the VIPs are evil and probably just sway things so the baby is considered a player despite having zero capability to do anything on its own.

TheSauceGuy

I also played the jump rope game in my childhood it was fun and easy. But I’m really afraid of heights. On top of that, imagine a song playing in the background, giant creepy dolls around, pressure of a countdown timer, and you're surrounded by people you can’t trust who might even push you. That’s truly a terrifying scenario.

Merry

Just curious, have you watched the end? I thought it was actually a good tie up to the ending and Gihun‘s message imo.

Ashley K

W

Qhoa

the red player attacked the VIP guard because he was gonna die anyway. he didnt get a kill so they were about to shoot him so he was gonna try his luck to survive.

Desolation

I really believe the VIP’s are supposed to be cringe and make the viewers uncomfortable for what kind of ppl they are but at least use decent actors lol. Where are they even finding these C grade Netflix original level actors bro 🙄 even ppl who don’t speak English can tell their acting is terrible with cringe delivery- especially the loudmouth one. Overacting with too many big hand gestures 🥴

Ashley K

Declaring Baby as a player is for me, the worst decision of the entire show. I know the ones running the games aren’t human they’re beasts, with no humanity left in them. But for me, the plot of the show is getting ruined. Honestly, the mother shouldn’t have joined the games from the very beginning.😐

Merry

Cannon, this show sucks. I'm secretly smiling on the inside. Best of luck for the next episodes bro👍🙂

Merry

Choi is such an asset and glimmer of hope watching this show. Started off as a goofy guy but dude puts it on the line and gives me someone to root for.

Vextipher

The VIPs bro 😭 I wonder why they’ve been such a miss with the show being as big as it is… and yeah these people have no reason to care about a baby when they’ve already accepted they’re ok killing hundreds of people to get more money

Frosty

😭😭😭

Cannon Andrus

A player 457 onesie for the baby is WILD, Canon.

Vextipher

He doesn't remember where he swam because when he woke up from his coma he didn't remember anything or much at all.

Brett

I think the VIPs sounding so weird is an artistic choice. It feels like their voices and dialogue is disconnected from the rest of the show just like their morals are disconnected from reality

TrueCrisp

lmao when the vips showed up in the beginning i genuinely thought i was watching some sort of parody or something i thought i was going crazy

TrueCrisp

Sweet innocent Jun-hee💔 Nah, give me double dutch!

Anya

I agree. She is definitely the heart of the show. She embodies all the qualities of a devoted mother. She even spread love & compassion. Most definitely would be hard to let go. That's too tragic considering her personality. & she did say she'd have nothing to live for if he died. 😢

Anya

The woman VIPs voice sounds so ai I actually can’t 😭

Tivy

I was relieved to see Gihun coming back to his senses and looking out for the others once again. But him holding that baby while jumping rope made me so scared. I was on edge the whole time. However I'm glad he was able to protect it. The VIPs deciding to put it in the game is a whole another level of messed up.

Betsy

I liked the new addition of the boy statue. It adds a nice twist to the game. But gosh they're creepy. I must watch too many horror movies. At some point, I was imagining them moving on their own. Total nightmare fuel... Eeek. 😳

Betsy

Not a critique of the show at all (Squid Game is incredible and this season was great), but personally I wish they hadn’t split season 2 and 3. Since they were filmed together and season 3 picks up exactly where 2 left off, it felt less like a new season and more like we were dropped into the next episode… just six months later lol. That long break kinda caused a bit of a disconnect for me, especially since the new season jumps straight into darker, heavier stuff and some abrupt character shifts. Maybe if they’d dropped two episodes a week like most kdramas, it could’ve kept the hype while still preserving the pacing and buildup. I found it harder to appreciate certain things in the moment because I was just so overwhelmed and sad the whole time lol. Tbh it’s my bad for not rewatching season 2 first to experience it the way it was meant to be seen—as one continuous story. Like I said, this is totally just a me thing and not a criticism of the show itself, but it definitely affected my first watch. I’m looking forward to watching it again here haha

Tivy

Geum-ja is like the heart of the show. I love how she's always trying to understand each person and give them the benefit of the doubt. She truly has a heart of gold. I would feel safer and be comforted by having her by my side and on my team. But honestly, my anxiety would be going nuts. So, I would need all the maternal love I could get. I would be taking in all the hugs I could get. I cried so much with her death. But it's understandable her pain and agony after witnessing such a traumatic and tragic event of having to kill your own son with your own hands... That would be hard to let go of. 😭😱

Betsy

I really felt for Jun-hee in this episode. Her ankle looks very painful, ouchie... She's one of my favorite characters. I never was good at jumping rope. And designed like this, yikes!! I would lose in a heartbeat :-(

Betsy

There's people that actually watch it in English?! The horror! 😭

Anya

Poor Jun-hee. Postpartum & a fractured ankle?! Jump rope is literally the worst game for her rn. Writers are wicked.

Anya

"No parent should ever have to outlive their child" 😞

Anya

"It's not your fault"- what a fitting title. Geum-ja's speech about how good & bad people react with blame is so true. It's been portrayed through a lot of our beloved characters. Gi-hun is correct in saying they've all made their own choices up to this point. Sweet Geum-ja, she basically tells Jun-hee & Gi-hun that it's not their fault, yet she blamed herself 💔

Anya

also i knew that the grandma definitely wasn't gonna make it as soon as her son was gone, and was likely to off herself (even having threatened so last season) but for a moment i dared to hope she might try and stick around a little longer to help jun-hee and her baby 😔 but ofc then she had that conversation with gi-hun and it was kind of giving last wish...so sad though :( when she was begging "please let the baby and it's mom out" i just know she was thinking of her baby too 😭

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

no bcuz same! literally went to make sure i wasnt on dub like- 😭😭

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

3 eps coming Thursday

Studio Geck

the :O!! of everyone at the end- me too, but it reminded me of baby birds gshnxjx

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

I'm with Carter, it looks really easy but the nerves would probably get me in that middle jump

Nashi

I actually grabbed my remote to check if my subtitles were correct lmao The VIPs are sooo cringe. The dialogue & delivery is honestly horrific!

Anya

Honestly, back to back great games

Nashi

In Season 2 the Mom tells the son that he may be able to go on if she dies, but if he dies, she’d have nothing left to live for. 😭😭😭 UGHHH It hurts.

Whyrie

"everyone here is a player" then hop on that bridge bro 😒

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

Thanks! I was not expecting the old lady to kill herself... Damn that hit hard. I thought that game was too easy, until the player really started to play the game lol. Gi-hun has to push him.

jrnoodles

"give me the baby bro" 😂 ok confidenceee ✨ LMAO

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

Sad to say but I think Brig is gone for good.

Vanesa

I didnt cry in any part of season one but the part with the mom I ugly cried.

Vanesa

good to know im not the only one who thought 'puppies?' lol - it feels like it coulda been a bit of a narrative parallel to jun-hee and her baby kinda

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

where my fate at

kuza

I cant tell whether the acting is bad or the VIPs just have a bad script.

Vanesa

The VIPS ruin just about life itself. We need Brig to pop in to tell us how much he hates them.

GreetswithJudgement

Season all together for me was meh. Season 1 is still the best, then 2 then 3 for me.

Ayoodude

what do you guys think about the vip's acting

How does Netflix make so much money and create a cgi baby that looks worse than the one in 3 idiots

LeBron Glazer (Bronsexual)

SO annoying

McKay Carter

They’re gonna have soooooo many thoughts 👀💀

Angela

I really hate how quick the main cast of season 2 got killed in the first half of this season. Wasted potential IMO

Alex Ramirez

thank god yall mentioned how dubbed the vips sounded 😭 i knew it wasnt just me

fayr

I am sooo curious to see your guys reactions and eventually hear your thoughts on this season as a whole

Tivy

Yohohoho

MCH

always gotta give us those dead player shots to start us off 🤚🏻😭

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

I cringe every time they speak English. I can’t imagine hearing that for the entire show. 😭 I do not understand how people can watch Squid Games in English dub.

Sanji

devastating

leah

Fire

Nonos

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨
