The rough pass, where i plan the timing and spacing of the movement while using very simple shapes.
The sketch pass, where I add the main features but leaving some inbetween frames almost blank.
Cleanup pass, where i trace over the sketch with clean lines and i usually animate the lights (red lines) and shadows (blue lines)
And finally the color pass, where i add the colors
