.Breaking. .Bad. 2x11

Schedules got a bit jumbled this week but 2x12 coming tomorrow!

Comments

Week late, but as much as I agree with you I think Carter and bradlyn just meant Jesse also chose to be in a relationship with her which holds him to a certain standard of caring. Yeah she 100% chose to turn around when she could of walked out, but Jesse chose to enter in to this woman's life knowing she used to be an addict. If Jesse cared about her at all he would of ended it when she showed him the 18 month coin. If Jane really cared about being sober and the new life she's had she never would of accepted his invite to see the TV. They are both at fault and doesn't matter who's more or less.

JayCnY

i dont necessarily think that it's jesse's fault but i think the whole point is to show how nuanced people can be and how ddiction is really a never-ending battle. and i do think that jane's life was definitely better before jesse came in it and its sad to see him come in to her life and completely destroy it (unintentionally) i dont think jane is blame-free but its just really effin sad

aqualuvrgirl

its really quite jarring how beneke immediately owned up to his sh*t and apologized the SECOND he knew he was caught. Her husband and the father of her kids just piles lie on top of lie on top of lie and every time she gets close to the truth he gaslights the sh*t out of her. maybe she picked the wrong man to marry idk.

aqualuvrgirl

im fuckin DEADDD at cannon carter and brig on the end of the couch curling up when they realize the birthday scene is this episode LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

engraved

Heroin addicts say they're always trying to chase- replicate that first high that's why they put so much emphasis on Jesse after his first high. He really got lifted out of that room on a board too.

Justin

20:24 jack is WILD for that 😈

neko

😂😂😂

Fatipapi

when you ask your mom to wake you up at 10am *mom at 6am 44:15* 🤣🤣

rian

rian

the shot of Jesse tripping was actually done practically

notchrisramirez

As soon as I heard birthday I knew....

notchrisramirez

aye man jane’s a grown ass woman who can make her own decisions

rian

Different types of cringe can still be ranked though

Sasha

say your least favorite characters are your favorites so they die

TheSauceGuy

They're different types of cringe for me

TheSauceGuy

It is more on Jane for sure but obviously anyone would have wanted Jesse to literally kick her out of his place. Sticky situation.

A_Daddy Daichi

Ohhh I did not remember the birthday party serenade…..

A_Daddy Daichi

The hype when watching Giancarlo's name in the initial credits was goooood

JulioLG

jack looks cute without glasses bro damn

Ron Jackson Jr

Yeah all it takes is that one moment of weakness and you’re cooked. Also to your point she should have never even been involved with Jesse in the first place if she didn’t cross the ethical boundary of sleeping with her tenant. If she asserted that boundary then we wouldn’t even need to have this discussion.

Osiris704

Nah happy birthday coming from skyler is the worst thing ever put on tv

Sean Carroll

Trust me is wild lmao

Nivek

Skylar’s happy birthday is right there with Scott’s tots. Uncomfortably unwatchable

Nivek

I’m happy to hear Cannon say its “more Janes fault”. I was flabbergasted when Jesse was getting blamed lol. Jane knew from day ONE he was a drug dealer because he used the fake name and paid in cash, way before he ever even knew she was a recovering addict. And still she chose to get close to him/let him in, flirt back and start a fling/romance. Then there’s Jesse telling her to piss off multiple times and she, again, chose to stay and participate, doing it in her feet so her dad won’t see the needle marks. AND THEN there’s the whole part where she literally gives him HEROIN. Correct me if I’m wrong, but i believe that shit gets you hooked on it after one try, making him a bigger addict and causing him more problems. That’s a very assholey thing to do to someone you supposedly care about 😅 could’ve just stuck to the meth smoking. I actually think its completely unfair to blame Jesse in any way. She knew what she was doing from day 1 getting close to him. He did not at any point offer her some or try to persuade her. He even said he didn’t want her there because of her program. Nobody is responsible for her turning around at that door, but her.

Fatipapi

“She’s on the low side of fluids huh?” Jack is the goat 🤣🤣

Nivek

it's kinda sad that people these days just assume everything is green screen lmao, and it's not even their fault obviously, we are getting used to it 😔

Kite

Imagine he made a typo and Walt just got a text saying POLLAS with no context 😂😂

Fatipapi

that’s what I’ve been saying

Bradlynn Andrus

I know they already watched it😂

Grady

🤫

Kite

Everyone: hard to watch Beneke: hard while watching

Fatipapi

No green screen for Jesse floating

Kite

Lord 😂 reading the comments before pressing play, i now dread to do so 😂

Fatipapi

Or just leave the US 😂

Fatipapi

Like what 😭

Cannon Andrus

Bones and All is a great movie. Very relatable.

Sasha

I know Cannon wants Keira Knightley to sing that for him

Sasha

That is not even close to cringiest scene in TV history. Even that drunk Walt scene was way more cringe.

Sasha

“This is actually the greatest episode of all time if this happens” lmao buddy doesn’t know what’s coming

Grady

Every single day in Africa, the sun rises and sets

Guy

I am so excited for the future of this reaction series

Rhettoric

I wouldnt blame Jesse or Jane. Both are addicts and addiction is a desease, so i would blame the addiction, because it controls their minds and they both couldnt think clearly in that situation

Skynobi

I don’t think it’s correct to say that Jesse should be responsible for making sure that Jane doesn’t relapse. They’re both adults who have their own substance abuse problems. It would be hypocritical for Jesse to be like “you’re sober so I’m not going to let you”. Even if he does do that, if Jane really wants to relapse she’s going to relapse. That’s one of the main reasons why when you’re in recovery they say not to date within the first 6-12 months. You have to work out how to be an individual before you can be a couple. Now in Jane’s case it sucks because she’s been sober for 18 months I think it was, and yea she should have stayed away from involving herself with Jesse because his habits/job are triggers. But, you can enter into a situation where you think you have it under control and you have ZERO desire to relapse. All it takes is that one moment of temptation, like when she hesitates at the door then boom. You’re back at it

Alan

Electric chair or birthday song scene

Enma

I mean it's beyond crossing a line wirh your boss. Especially when your married and pregnant.

Vanesa

such a great show.

Anthony Chavez

This reaction was actually peak. Jack: "wait why is she low on fluids huh, is it because shes cheating?'

DC

There is no green screen in the shot of Jesse floating off the bed while high on heroin it was achieved by lifting Aaron Paul from the bed using a platform.

Richard Jacobsen

I played it for my roommates and they were pissed lol

GreetswithJudgement

I'm at work and I cannot stop laughing at the birthday song.

Vanesa

You are in trouble McKay

Eiden Porter

I think that real problem was the happy birthday song.

Vanesa

Easier said than done!

Brig Andrus

Fun fact: Gus was supposed to only be a one episode character but he played the role so well they decided to invite him back for another episode. Then he performed that so well they made him a main character

Sean Carroll

Every 60 seconds in Africa a minute passes

Sam M

$200,000 in 2009 is $300,000 today. $1.2 million in 2009 is $1.62 million today. As of this writing, 38 pounds in 2009 is still 38 pounds today.

Dónde está la biblioteca

Skyler gets Ted a birthday cake McKay: SHES A CHEATER McKay is hilarious in this series

Sean Carroll

Bradlynn is bad luck haha

Sean Carroll

Haha the collective look where Carter cannon and brig all realise that the birthday scene is this episode

Sean Carroll

No Mckay that was a good question about how they shot the scene with Jesse levitating off the bed. They actually didn't use a green screen at all. Jesse was laying on a board essentially attached to a lift and the room was just the four walls without a ceiling in a studio. They have some juicy bts of this

Sam M

"Maybe he pays the doctor in meth." :-)

Qhoa

the real mark for death in aot and breaking bad so far has been anyone bradelyn vouches for lmao

Sarah Wevers

here we go again

leah

yayyyy

leah

I knew something cringe happened, but I couldn't remember what lol.

TheSauceGuy

side effect of mixing crystal with heroin

TheSauceGuy

I updated my comment before reading this and actually mentioned that. I agree with what you're saying to a degree, but I don't think Jesse was in the right headspace to fight her on it too much.

TheSauceGuy

I think they’re looking at it from the perspective that if you truly value your partner and what’s important to them then you’d be more cognizant and careful of their struggles to ensure they’re not compromising themselves. I agree with you though that she made her own decision

Osiris704

52:26: I think it’s more Janes fault tbh. A part of addiction recovery is avoiding triggers. If I’m 18 months sober and I find out my significant other is a drug dealer or have an idea that they might be (which this episode clearly shows that she did) that’s when it’s time to go. I understand it’s hard being a recovering addict and she also has an emotional connection to Jesse so her judgment could be clouded but I don’t think she stood firm enough on her boundaries (which she’s let Jesse cross a lot) to avoid this being a potential outcome. It’s sad to watch

Osiris704

You really shouldn't put Jane's decision on Jesse. She allowed the creation of a tempting environment and then failed to resist her temptations. Maybe Jesse could've refused to give her anything or even further advised against it, but she's an adult and can make her own decisions. I don't want to downplay how horrible battling drug addiction is, but I'd say it falls more on Jane, even if Jesse could've done more. After Combo's death, I don't think he was in the right headspace to do what was best for Jane.

TheSauceGuy

That fluid comment from Jack was insane lmao

TheSauceGuy

Finally, The Chicken Brothers

TheSauceGuy

Nah Aaron Paul just floated, it’s been known to happen

Sean Carroll

Imagine not skipping Skyler scenes 🤣🤣 but I had to watch just to see their faces 📈

MateoP

Oh, what a world we live in, $200,000 to POTENTIALLY treat the life-threatening cancer you have!

TheSauceGuy

the scene where jesse is floating is not green screen! its all practical effects - hes being lifted off the bed using a platform rig. theres a popular shot behind the scenes of him laying on the platform its really cool you guys should check it out.

bloartle

Gus=walt/jesse 📈📈

MateoP

The preemptive cringe was excellent. Also, good on Bradlynn for knowing the reference.
