This was one particular fight I was looking forward to after reading and they really did it justice. I couldn’t ask for better. The additions were so good. One of those episodes u could watch so many times.

Okay, the thing is. There is a certain pattern to Jinwoo's evolution. From the beginning, Jinwoo has always struggled the most WHILE he was in the dungeons created by the system. People tend to forget that the magic beasts/monsters inside the dungeons created by the system are typically stronger than what Jinwoo can handle. The system exists to test his limits and push him beyond them, for whatever reason. However, when he DOES overcome these limits, he gets incomparably stronger than before. So when he gets out of the system-created dungeon, his encounters with normal magic beasts in the gates are more often than not an easier fight. E.g. the fight with Demon Monarch Baran was a LOT harder for Jinwoo than it was with the ant king, despite Jinwoo speculating(in the manhwa) that the ant king was on par with or perhaps even stronger than the Demon Monarch. "Will I ever be nervous again?" AHAHAHAHAHAHAH To prevent y'all from losing interest in the admittedly predictable outcome of the fights so far: The short answer is YES. 1000% yes, you will feel nervous. I think I must have physically screamed on more than one occasion in events after this. I guarantee there's a shit ton of stuff to come and have yet to be uncovered.

But time is the most important part, and ideally not crunching the animators so that they stay sane and healthy to keep making the good shit for us.

Personally, this episode was done really well. There were scenes I thought were drawn better in the manhwa, but that's because those are still frames and easier to draw details in. I still really appreciate what A-1 pictures has done, because honestly, the fight went WAYYYY easier for Jinwoo in the manhwa, which might have disappointed some people. However, what was really missing was Jinwoo's shadow soldiers' contribution and cool scenes in the manhwa! For those Igris, Iron, Tank and Tusk lovers, I highly recommend you guys to check out the manhwa for their individual fight panels. They're all SO GOOD (Oh and, in the process, just read the entire fight there too. IT'S JUST AS GOOD IMO AND HAS COOLER DIALOGUE OF JINWOO INSULTING THE ANT KING)

Some changes the anime made that were different from the manhwa: - Jinwoo actually shows up and immediately starts slashing at the ants that were surrounding the South Korean S-ranks. He brought out his daggers and everything while commanding his soldiers. He also resurrected the dead ants without care for the camera that was broadcasting the event live to the entire country. The part where the ant king arrived was actually when he was talking to Ma Dongwook, the South Korean tank, about bringing Cha Hae-in out of the ant's nest for immediate medical attention. - The ant king's exoskeleton was actually shown to be cracking each time Jinwoo landed a blow. Him breaking through that tough hide was what made the ant king conclude that we was looking in a battle of strength. - The ant king's poison stinger was coated in the poison of a cone snail (it consumed one when it was born and proceeded to gain its abilities + enhancing it with its mana, making the venom even more deadly than the original form), which has one of the most lethal venoms that exists in mother nature. - When the Japanese S-rank hunter was talking to the Japanese Hunter Association Chairman (Chairman Matsumoto), there was actually a scene where they detected not only the ant king's massive aura, but also Jinwoo's which was just as huge as the ant king's. The chairman panicked thinking that the South Korean S-ranks were still alive and demanded to watch the South-Korean live coverage of the event on Tv.

Clarifications for some of your questions!: - The potions that Jinwoo purchases from the system's store cannot be transferred ownership to someone else. If he tries to hand it over to the injured S-ranks, the potions will likely just disappear back into his inventory, since they don't have the system. Thus, he has to feed it to them directly, like he did with Manager Ahn from the White Tiger Guild in season 1, when he was snooping around Jinwoo's business and got a threatening cut on his cheek by Jinwoo in the process. - The face that was shown behind the ant that confused you guys was Goto Ryuji's face! It isn't very clear here in the anime, but the ant king is actually repeating the words that Goto was thinking in the previous episode, when he saw the ant king and went "What a menacing aura." - Yes, the blades that Jinwoo brought out to fight the ant king WERE those he got from defeating Baran, the Demon Monarch. They give +220 attack, and when used as a set, there's a bonus effect of additional attack damage for each dagger based on the caster's strength stat points (I love reading the info for every item or skill Jinwoo gets. It takes a LOT of creativity to come up with those tiny ass details.) - BTW!! The Mutilation skill that Jinwoo got mid-fight that allowed him to avoid getting his eye pierced by the ant king's claws was upgraded from Fatal Strike (Critical Attack in the manhwa). His Fatal Strike skill was used to kill Igris back in season 1, where he spammed it like crazy, and steadily leveled up to I believe Level 3 before reaching Level Max (Mutilation, the final form of that skill). - In the manhwa, Jinwoo doesn't try to use the Elixir of Life/Holy Water of Life to heal Cha Hae-in. But my best guess about why it didn't work was likely because the Elixir of Life's description back in season 1 was that it can heal all illnesses. The fact that Cha Hae-in's condition wasn't considered an illness is pretty explainable, because she didn't get that weak or close to death because of an illness, it was because of a physical injury and a lot of blood loss. Then again, this is just my best guess.

I read Solo Leveling before it was even thought to become an anime. I don't usually read action based mangas (unless it's already an anime and I decide to then read it), but this one got so many positive reviews that I decided to give it a try. I binge-read it and finished it in one day, and the first thing I said was "This needs to become an anime!". I never thought that this day would come lol. Beautifully done.

The only thing I can theorize for healing Cha Hae-in is Jinwoo arises the S-rank healer. Feel Yoonho would be conflicted because it’s his friend and it’s immoral to use his dead friend like that. Jinwoo would be a hero for saving everyone, but also a danger to humanity, which was hinted by Jinwoo’s dad a while back. Anyway, stellar episode and fight! Let’s see how they end the season

The blessing that grants a "strong and healthy life" is divided into two effects: 1. Will to Recover (or Spirit of Rehabilitation in the anime), which recovers any damage dealt to his body (doesnt make him immortal tho) 2. Longevity (Health and Longevity in the anime), which removes all those negative status effects & speeds up regeneration when he sleeps. This blessing was a reward for completing the secret quest "Courage of the Weak" in the double dungeon during ep 2 & Jinwoo discovered it in ep 7 when he tried his best to drink alcohol.
