The dragon fight is good but at that point Jin woo is so op that there's no suspense or sense of worry left for the reader. After Jeju island the manhwa goes down in terms of writing. Still enjoyable but definitely not as good as Jeju island.

It's reasonable to assume the ant can hide it's true power and also, previous raids of Jeju island consisted of some S ranks and some A ranks. This entire raid is full of S ranks and the ones from Japan are even stronger, it is a bit silly Jinwoo sat out but this is also the biggest and strongest raid yet.

He acts like it's a given that he's stronger than Jinwoo when he knows next to nothing abt him, and also already acknowledged that he might be better than South Korea's other S-ranks. Was Jinwoo supposed to down play his own abilities just to maintain Goto's ego? No, hell no. If Goto wanted to spar, he should have done so with the mindset of learning about Jinwoo's true strength, not denying it and going straight to "this bitch thinks he's better than me when I'm obviously top dog, how dare he". This is the arrogance I was referring to. As for Jinwoo, I don't see how he might be considered arrogant at this point of time. He rarely underestimates his opponents, and his strength warrants the confidence he has, so I don't understand your view.

You can definitely make an argument for whether Jinwoo made the right choice not to go to Jeju Island. I totally agree that it was a decision fueled by his own interests, because being near his mother IS something he decided for his and his family's good. Brig isn't totally wrong when he says that Jinwoo could have spared an hour or two for the raid. There were MANY readers who shit on him for that. That being said, there are several reasons brought up by manhwa readers, novel readers, and people who support Jinwoo why his decision is valid as well: 1. His family is ultimately higher on his priority list than the Jeju Island raid. Jinwoo has full confidence in the 16, SIXTEEN, S-ranks deployed for a single raid. His stance is that he's gauged the average strength of each of the S-ranks that are going through the spar in this episode and his interactions with them, and he thinks they're more than enough. This is fair. 2. Jinwoo is the last remaining S-rank on South Korea's mainland. Even if he didn't consider this, he could very well be the last line of defense for the place where his mother and sister live, should the raid team fail and the ants fly over. (If the raid is successful without him, even better! His help wasn't needed after all, and it proves that he's not "the only person who can pull their weight") 3. Many readers brought up the fact that just because Jinwoo is the protagonist of this story doesn't mean that he needs to be involved in everything. People in the manhwa community like to complain about an MC that takes on every possible job/quest/hunt that comes their way and somehow becomes the centre of attention because of it. They say it's boring, that the MC has a hero/saviour complex or their character is bland because the MC does nothing but fight. Well, here we have an alternative to this kind of MC. But ofc, people complain about this too. 4. Jinwoo is by no means a selfless person. He's kind, down to earth, and yearns to be stronger for the sake of protecting those he loves, but he isn't the type of person who takes on a job that he thinks others will complete perfectly fine even without him. We've already seen his waning humanity, and if he wants to spend time with his family to get over the feeling of being distanced from them because of his hunter activities, that's his right. It's neither wrong nor right, but it's his decision. No go-getter MC for us here!

He can't stand the smell of hunters, and his condition is apparently a lot more severe than hers, considering that he has to wear a literal gas mask while she can go on without or with just a handkerchief. Kei speculates that it's because he's a few levels above her in power, although it's never confirmed to be true.

IN THE MANHWA!!! It was a spectacular panel, showing Jong-in first, cause he jumped without warning and scared everyone, and then the others following right after. So many amazing panels... Just gone... To everyone who hasn't read the manhwa, I highly HIGHLY recommend it for the Jeju Island arc if y'all can't wait for the next episodes to come out. It is amazing. I literally had no words to describe it. It was one of the most highly anticipated moments for readers, and had me on the edge of my seat every chapter.

When that happened Jinwoo thought to himself that he should stop playing around if he doesn't want another kill quest like before (Like SIR??? Playing around??? Damn) - After the spar, Hanekawa (the interpreter from Japan), tries to talk to Goto Ryuji, but the panel right after shows Goto sweating profusely all over his face, with a traumatised expression HAHAHAHA I'm guessing the anime wanted to save some of Goto's aura for the Jeju Island raid, but honestly his arrogance just rubs me the wrong way so I'll expose his sorry ass LMFAO

2025-03-09 07:51:30 +0000 UTCTo everyone who was asking where I am my bad I woke up extra late today(courtesy of 3am calls for a uni paper) BUT I'm here now and oh boy are there a shit ton of things to talk about for this episode that were missing: - Lim Taegyu, the S-rank from South Korea who specialises in long-rank combat, ended up getting crushed into the wall when he lost to the Japanese S-rank he was sparring with (as in, the wall reinforced by top-tier essence stones was literally dented into the shape of a Taegyu's body). That's how hard he got pinned HAHA - When Kumamoto (the Japanese S-rank with the eyepatch and mask) sneaked up on Hae-in, she threw her punches out of reflex. The Japanese S-ranks up in the balcony actually speculated that she punched him around 10-14 times in that instant alone. - Kumamoto actually doesn't remember what he does when he loses his temper LMFAO he just goes batshit crazy and starts beating up everyone in the vicinity, even his own teammates. - Goto Ryuji actually got a mad when he saw Jinwoo smiling at him (he told Shimizu, the Japanese S-rank healer with the twin buns on top of her had, to heal anyone who gets hurt and he specifically pointed at Jinwoo and said really confidently that Jinwoo would be needing her assistance in a few minutes HAHA) - Choi Jong-in made an appearance in the middle of Jinwoo and Goto's spar saying that "Seems like an exciting match began while I was out for a smoke." This shit cracked me out so bad in the manhwa HAHAHHA He's so goofy sometimes
