2025-03-07 20:41:40 +0000 UTCSkypiea is such an overhated arc and it doesn't get as much love as other arcs only because it is much slower and quite frankly has some content in there that just is not needed but it still baffles me that some ppl skip this arc on their first watch. I love almost everything in the arc and all the lore surrounding it. The characters are great, and the villain is one of my favorites in possibly the whole show maybe top 10. it's not even that slow when compared to arcs like FI and TB. Plus, watching it in one pace format probably makes the experience even better.

I legit dropped the show for more than two years because of this one character. The manga is 66 chapters, which is slightly over a year, but a chapter of OP doesn't take 20+ minutes to read through There is definitely a very good feeling of nostalgia and hindsight when rewatching/reading it, especially when you're caught up

Even tho in comparison the anime adaption of skypea has generally good pacing when compared to future arcs. 2025-03-07 05:08:01 +0000 UTCPersonally I've only seen the anime in its orignal form and while I believe one pace should've only been used post-time skip, I can see how it's trimming some of the fat that makes the whole thing a little more flowy. From the looks of it anyway, one thing one pace will do is get you to the next arc faster and I'm here for it haha. Skypiea isn't in my top 10 arc so I'm not overly attached to it. Rewatcing the anime with you guys have been super fun though. I remember feeling it was long like Brig my first time, but now I'm so attached to the Straw Hats that everything they do or say, especially this far back in the story, is just super fun to me.
