"he hasn't got control of his titan" is just way too shallow of an explanation. The "first" time Eren transformed all he did was fighting titans, why didn't he harm Mikasa when he had multiple occasions, or even any humans then ? During his first transformation flashback, we see that all he thinks about his exterminating the titans, it is heavily implied that his feelings at the time of the transformation play a huge part on how he acts once inside the titan body (IF he's not fully in control obviously). Hange later realizing how Eren needs an intent to be able to succesfully transform reinforce this theory as well. I believe there's a reason Isayama showed these interactions between Eren and Mikasa, where Eren gets more and more fed up with her before transforming. it serves the purpose of showing how Mikasa doesn't want to let Eren "die" again obviously, but also gives a reasonable reason to have Eren not run after all the titans to beat them up, but instead turn on Mikasa and stun himself, enabling the following plot point with Armin coming to wake him up and showing how for Eren, his motivation was not about avenging his mother but about freedom (which btw is frankly quite hard to grasp on the first watch but feels like a genius move when you rewatch it haha). Once again, in this work where practically nothing is left randomly and where there are countless examples where events/plot points are introduced through short dialogues right before happening, I cannot help but think his frustration with Mikasa's behaviour is what drove him to hit her. As far as I remember, this is also the last time he lets her overprotective behaviour make himself angry.

Especially that "spoiled kid" line Mitabi gives to Eren referring to how Mikasa is pampering him, took me a while to realize what this was about.
