Family, a sense of belonging, having someone inspiring in your life, and at the same time realizing your life inspired people you love that much... all of these things happen simultaneously in that scene... along with us seeing Naruto's whole family in one place for the first time in who knows how many years since the last time we've watched the show - so yeah, of course that scene hits hard. I am sure it would hit the boys too if they were on their rewatch.

Japan bombed Pearl Harbor....USA dropped two nukes on them....Japan didnt bomb USA soil again. Thats what Pain wants to do...give everyone a nuke and let them use it...theyll feel the pain and devastation. Then theyll stop. Thats the simplest I can put it with the least amount of details lol. In the case of summoning for Naruto it would be like the contracts for summons or the locations like Mt. Myoboku. If the Geks didn't enjoy those portions of summoning's then I would understand why you would say they didn't like that part of the world building but the fights with summoning's have nothing to do with world building. Worldbuilding is used to establish themes and tones of the story such as the reveal of Mt. Myoboku or summoning contracts but whether summons are used in a fight or not has nothing to do with that

The dragging on part is what baffles me bc again it's action and at least it's DIFFERENT action than ninjutsu and taijutsu so again idk how something completely different is considered a drag. It's not like you know what happens with the action scenes and just because they are not main characters doesn't mean they are not worth the time. Maybe I'm not a kid and the drag word goes over my head but to me it's a negative way of describing the effort of the artists who probably spent a whole bunch of time to create really awsome characters that add to the lore of the main character powers.

They are still very good and super interesting, but if an entire fight relies on everyone using them, it doesn’t feel as personal as a 1v1. This fight was great, but if they kept fighting with summonings for 3 more episodes, it would lose momentum. Nobody’s hating on it—it's still good—but 1v1 battles are just better. In this fight, summonings enhanced the quality, but if that was all they did for few more episodes, it would get kind of meeh. They did it right with this fight and only used summonings for one episode

I always find characters like Naruto and jiraiya just so much more interesting, even if I can understand the reasoning for people who have gone through a lot (esp as we see in these eps of yahiko konan and nagato). we dont know what happened yet exactly in this point but you can think of many ways that war and suffering can radicalise children (negatively) and lead them to the wrong path. some ppl may find characters like naruto cliche but I feel that its such a beautiful testament of our potential, despite what the world throws at us. but back to this episode....I HATE SEEING PAIN BUT IM EXCITED, IT JUST SUCKS HAVING JIRAIYA FACE THEM

I had them on my Nokia back then, and I and my classmates would go crazy listening to them with our Akatsuki rings and protectors on. It’s one of the best fights in the series, and it would be a shame to have it split up instead of watching it in one sitting. I also agree with the idea that fights without summoning are more interesting, and it was really strange that Pain relied only on summoning, considering he had mastered every jutsu. Even Jiraiya himself is curious and wonders why Pain is using only summoning techniques, which adds to the mystery surrounding him. I can't wait for the next week 👀🥹 you will see one of my favourite episodes

THAT BEING SAID, its important to remember Naruto is a japanese show. Their relationship with nukes is different than ours. We scoff and laught at the notion of nukes ending war because we had them first, dealt with the cold war, and live in the modern era. etc etc. But for Japan nukes hit them (no pun intended) way different for obvious reasons. it affects their stories, media, and philosophy in a different nuanced way.

Orochimaru also possess all the chakra natures. When Jiraiya said Nagato learned all the jutsu, he was talking about all the Jutsu that he personally knows, while Orochimaru’s goal was to learn all the jutsu existing in this world. Some are lost, some are forbidden, that’s why he spends so much time doing research, he wants to recover all the lost jutsu. Kakashi can use all the chakra styles as well. It was mentioned several times in the show. We’ve seen him use lightning, fire, water and earth so far. Even though Sasuke defeated Orochimaru, that doesn’t make him stronger than Orochimaru. Don’t forget that the third sealed his hands so he couldn’t perform his ninjutsu, and his body was on the verge of crumbling, which is why he is planning to take Sasuke’s body.

Tsunade has more chakra than Jiraiya, but she is not as versatile, so it’ll be tough for her to fight Pain. Kakashi may know a thousand jutsu and possesses all the chakra natures, but he has limited amount of chakra, so there is no way he can fight Pain. If Jiraiya dies, the Leaf will be doomed, unless something else happens.
