You're not the boss of me Cannon. If I want to brush my teeth once a week for an hour that's my business and it's probably fine I think

Nick K

it ain't that easy, they're watching so many shows and there's only one episode a week

kiiturii

Yeah I know who it is

Odin Aksnes

lololol - your name lol Okay, yes I can see outie Mark being in the driver's seat with Innie Mark's consciousness flowing in. Same goes with Innie Mark being in the driver's seat but his outie seeping in. I forgot to separate Petey's reintegration from Mark's. Mark's reintegration will be different because Reghabi is more advanced. Trojan horse theme all around. This show is soo damn good for theorizing.

Anya

@lololol - I do agree the integration is affecting both the innie and outie, since we are seeing him having flashes and weird visual glitches. Especially him seeing Lumons hallways and his wife at the very end scene of the episode. However, I really do believe the outie M is mostly the one in control and the one who is aware/conscious during most of this episode as there are just too many tells for it. He is acting exclusively AS his outie as far as I can tell with how he reacted to Helly, his comments on the funeral being a waste of time, he was completely uninterested in participating in the funeral, saying Irv isnt dead but just not here, how he is completely lost and confused regarding everything about Lumon and the severed floor and its surroundings and how things work down there - if you just look at how he acts down there it seems as if he is trying to figure out where stuff is and to learn as much as he can about everything down there. His way of talking to Helly AND Dylan is telling as well because he talks to them as if they are strangers to him. If he was his innie and was hurt by Hellena using him for sex in the tent, then why is he ALSO acting weird towards Dylan? That part makes no sense. All these things, as well as him going home 6 minutes EARLY... which has never happened to his innie, and then the way Milchick suspiciously reacted to it... all those things make me think - if is looks like a duck, smells like one, acts like one - it is a duck

Mysterious Figure

I don't think we're actually seeing OUTIE MARK in control. Rather, i think its more of a situation where the reintegration has started to slowly affect both of the personalities to a certain degree - where the outie version of Mark has begun to see visions (as we've been seeing), and the innie mark also starting to adopt a more distant personality. But even then, I feel like it would have been understandable that Innie mark is acting they way he is acting given what he had experienced prior. Those hints you've mentioned such as the hair could be subtle hints that Mark is becoming more and more united between his personalities and thus the INNIE MARK is becoming less tidy (with his hair) and such. But I doubt OUTIE MARK has control during the episode like how we've seen Helena take control. Im saying this as one of the people who wrote theories on Helena pretending to be Helly R. and being 100% sure about it lol. Also it wouldn't mmake sense if Innie Mark was actually Outie mark most of the episode since innie mark himself was seeing visions inside the severed floor. PArallel to this, outie mark felt confused at the end of the episode when he saw visions of the severed floor ---- this wouldnt make sense if you are claiming that Mark was there the entire time already during the episode.

lololol

I think Mark S’ behaviour this episode is related to him feeling betrayed by Helly (even though it’s not her fault) this version of him has never experienced romance or a sexual experience, and now he’s found out those experiences were not with the woman he thought and probably questions the consent also. This along with realising lumon was playing him the entire time. They know he is aware Gemma is there and she’s his wife etc. He doesn’t know who or what to trust/believe in anymore so has retreated inside himself.

Pats

😂

GreetswithJudgement

I felt that, with Mark being as much his outie as he was his innie while he was at work in this episode. Not sure Milchick felt that too. I think that much like innie Mark might be in his rebellious teenage phase, Milchick might be taken out his frustration about his evaluation out on Mark. However I did also feel like Irving might be a lot more assimilated with his outie self last episode, but I thought I might have been overthinking it

Rayanh LaNansha

Lol For me it's the 45° angle staple on a stack of papers.

Anya

Ooh nice catch. I just thought it's blending like Petey's did. I'll have to pay more attention to the dolly zoom and mannerisms. He could be the Trojan's horse the title is referring to🤔

Anya

I think the entire time we are seeing Mark in this episode he is actually mostly his outie. There are so many tells for this. Im not sure how everyone keeps thinking he is already completely or mostly integrated, despite what Raghabi said. There are several details. For example, the show has always made a very noticeable effort in distinguishing between innie Mark and outie Mark's hair. Outie M's always looks less tidy, while innie M's looks really slick - he is at work so he has to look proper. This entire episode his hair always looked like how it does when outie Mark comes home from work, or whenever we see outie M at home. The show had also obviously differentiated the hair between Helena and Helly, along with her body language and her facial expressions - we have already seen hints like this being used to tell us the viewer which character we are seeing. Another thing to note is that weird camera distortion effect that always happens when Mark enters the work elevator that kind of "squishes" his face, hinting to the viewer that he is now swapped... so if you closely look at him, his face does look wider when he is not at work. I am not sure if they have been using this effect all this time between his work and home scenes during every scene in the entire show since season 1, because at this point I might be imagining this detail. Then the way Mark has been reacting to everything at work. He basically has no idea where he is, where he should be going, what he should be doing, its obvious he is looking around as if he is trying to gather information and get his bearings - because his innie is not yet integrated properly. When Helly asked him about his experience with her in the tent, if you look at his reaction it is obvious he isnt really embarrassed nor hurt but doesnt really remember so he is trying to make stuff up for her to cover for himself not even knowing what happened. When they talk about the "funeral" for Irv, he says to Milchick "lets just get it over with so it doesnt take up too much time" or something similar - innie Mark would NEVER say something like this, so this is obviously the outie talking because he is in a hurry to find information on his dead wife and doesnt care about these innie people. During the funeral, he is totally uninterested in participating, and his perspective of "he isnt dead, he is just not here" is something only the outie Mark would say. He acts as if he barely knows Helly and Dylan. He is basically now in a reverse mole situation that Helena was in, and is also not telling Helly or Dylan about it. So he is doing to them the same thing as Helena did. Milchick is onto him - thats why we get that scene in the elevator, and why Milchick was suspicious and noticed Mark left home "6 minutes EARLY" - a detail never before mentioned in any episode... why? Maybe because something like that probably would never happen to an innie? Also, Seth never actually uses vulgar language towards innies if I remember correctly (I could be wrong), so maybe he tried to corner Mark and see if he would provoke a more "human-like" reaction from him since he probably suspects it is actually his outie and not the innie he is talking to.

Mysterious Figure

What was it?

S K

..."Bring balance to the innies, not leave them in darkness!" That being said lol I hope he really is using it as a Trojan horse..

Anya

I have the complete opposite opinion lol that would be the cop out.

Jack is STRUGGLIN at remembering past events or phrases from s1 or even early this season D:

Kale

Anybody else think they figured out who the trolley guy is? If you know what he was whistling its a HUGE clue

Kevin Landon

This might be the most detailed show ever made, its impossible to catch everything watching once, let alone, casually with friends. It makes for good reactions though!

“She’s a rat but I’ll defend her cuz she’s a baddie” Cannon taking some notes from Sanji 💯

Pearl

We’re doing our best!!

Cannon Andrus

Irving screamed "Hang In There" to Dylan before he was turned off. you guys have gotta start paying attention cause Ms. Huang also played the Theremin literally last episode that you guys should've recognized cause why're we asking "what was she gonna do" when she started playing the same instrument as in the woods 😭😭 guys please start paying more attention than side convos. Cause this show has a lot of hidden messages and obvious stuff that are constantly being missed every reaction. Love you!

jeremy

I think u forgot that Felicia at O&D told Irv that a guy comes to take the supplies to the testing floor now and that Irv asked Felicia if she knew where it was. We've seen the painting outside the elevator before. Mark has absolutely no way of verifying it's Helly. The last thing Irving said to Dylan was specifically "Dylan, hang in there" which is why the poster was so odd for him. Also I feel like the subtitles ruin a lot of the comedic moments in the show and spoil some things but I know it's hard to watch without them as a group.

fyre

I think Dylan was able to find the picture Irving drew because the poster said "Hang in there" which is what Irving said to him at the end of the last episode Mark's interactions with Helly this episode broke my fucking heart; I know we're after the mystery of cold harbor and the mystery of what's going on with Gemma and Mark's pursuit, rescue of, and reunion with her, but, I ship Mark and Helly, selfishly I just want things to work out well with them, though I don't see how they possibly can

jared

Poor Helly :( I also think that reintegration adds the memories from the innie to the outie, gradually, so Marks is kind of being a "whole person" again, and I think he will be the same in and out, if the process completes succesfully.

Digging Brig's look today

Ron

I don’t know how that can happen without looking freaky as shxt 😭

Rayanh LaNansha

Cannon: “But I’ll defend her cause she’s a baddie” 😂

Rayanh LaNansha

She's a fantastic actor

Mahti

If this show doesn’t turn into aliens or demonic cult shit then the shows gotta be a 6/10 🤣 wayyy to good to be just a rich guy trying to live forever 😭

MateoP

Thank you! This season is cooking.

These are the sophiscated advancements that seperate us from the barbarians, like placing the toliet paper on the roller facing outwards

Kevin Landon

I think brig is finally accepting the superiority of the season 2 intro

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

tbf Mark is still prosessing it. If the genders were reversed, a lot of us wouldn't question this reaction, in the sense Mark got sexually assaulted or at least taken advantage of. Considering he is literally 2 years old I would say his behaviour makes sense. Helena was very convincing and now after all the drive of being outside for the first time went away he just feels betrayed, used and distrustful. Also trapped, since all the progress they made has gone away to drain because of him and his relationships with "Helly", whom he trusted 100%. It's a very bad position to be in

Ayaulym🇰🇿

The Innies and Outies, in my opinion, don't have two different consciousnesses, instead they just don't have any awareness of their other existence. So philosophically they are different people but in terms of their experience, they are 1 conscious being flipping between two different lives essentially. The severance procedure doesn't create an "Innie" entity, it just locks those memories away in a box. What reintegration does is it unlocks the memories from both sides and they go back to being one person. From an Outie's perspective for instance, they would now remember what they did as an Innie. On another note, I think Dylan found the note because the picture said "Hang In There" which is what Irving said to Dylan at the waterfall when saying goodbye.

James Moss

Ah yes, the paper clip dilemma. I too am meticulous about how paper clips should be installed. Milchick needs to do better.

GreetswithJudgement

And I didn’t even mention guilt to one of the only people in his life that she doesn’t know he had sex with her

Andrew Lynch

I feel Mark acting so weird here is because he’s legitimately traumatized. Like you guys said, the night with helly was probably the closest and most intimate he’s ever felt to another person in his life. No mom or dad, no deep deep relationships or anything like that, and to find out that it was a lie and not only a lie but it was arguably sexual assault by Helena since he didn’t know who he was having sex with. On top of those feelings, he lost one of his only 3 friends, doesn’t know if he can trust another (also the one he shared that with) AND the person that lied to him is in his mind responsible for kidnapping and holding his wife prisoner that he’s been searching for, and is behind the company that is lying and trapping him. If he was acting normal after last episode I’d honestly be concerned about the writing

Andrew Lynch

I want it so bad

Sissy Six

Milchick's flip will be glorious.

Enma

Rickon, you were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy Lumon, not join them! Who knew that money and influence could make someone abandon their morals and ideals so quickly.

Enma

I did comment on the dying thing. Crazy thing for them to mention

Studio Geck

Ill flippin lose it if this whole fields, burt, and irv thing becomes a throuple after milchik namedropped that word. If that was forshadowing ima lose it lmfao

jblakk

You guys missed when Ms. Huang said to Milchick. " I thought bereavement parties were for when innies died ON THE FLOOR." Meaning the innies died AT WORK and they have these other help the other employees grieve Dylan knew to look beings the poster because Irving's last words to him were "Hang in there" so looking at Irvings face as a melon he was probably thinking about him and reminiscing and then he turned around and saw the poster with "Hang in There" and it reminded him of what he said. I think Milchick's meeting shows that he really doesn't want to be their jailer and he is truly trying to make them a comfortable as possible. He really isn't cruel like Harmony and it seems like he actually does have some humanity to him. Ms. Huang is probably right about not letting them have a funeral, but he truly want s them to be able to grieve and get through this. However his conversation with Mark in the elevator has me thinking he's not going to be so nice anymore. I think Burt is somehow not on our side as an outie, just a gut feeling.

Jimmy

I got it. My app needed to be updated! 👍🏻

Scott Nagao

I’m sorry, your reply privileges are hereby revoked. Your outie shall be notified forthwith

Seth Aasland

Goddamn it SETH. DO IT!

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

I imagine when you reintegrate you are 1 person with the memories of both your innie and your outtie. Your "outtie" has existed for your whole life even before you took the job at lumon so your innie memories would probably just become a small part of who you are and influencing the decisions you make.

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

Same. "The work is mysterious and important"☝️

Anya

You guys should watch the behind the scenes of this episode before the start of the next episode. They talk about some points and clear up some of the intention, where they are coming from and what the characters are thinking.

Jimmy

Having connections to the morgue is very telling...

Anya

Mark just needs to time to cope and process everything. I think he's paranoid and ashamed. He does display slight reintegration side effects. Blended moments from his blasè attitude to his speech. Innie Mark saying Irving's not dead he's just not here. Outie Mark saying the same about Gemma. Which Brig did catch!

Anya

Irving told Dylan "hang in there" which is a reference to Dylan's Macrodat Uprising poster in the break room. Irving recalled his outie painting when he came back. Dylan turned him down in searching for it so he could have the family visitation perk. Irving came across Felicia and got more answers from her. She probably told him the directions written on the back.

Anya

Yes, the painting in the lobby first showed in episode one. It's called "Kier Pardons his Betrayers" They conveniently hung it up when the crew came back from the Macrodat Uprising lol

Anya

Cannon, I thought the same thing about the doctor being Petey. Idk if it was just me but he looked like he was twitching lol or it could've just been him feeling his tune haha

Anya

Good catch Jack, yes the pills and drink was in the intro. I think it's to help mitigate reintegration sickness. I wouldn't study the intro though if you don't want to get spoiled. It gives away a lot.

Anya

Irvs last words to dylan were "hang in there" which doesn't really sound like something Irv would say so when dylan saw the poster he knew to check

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

Natalie’s actress is SO expressive. I can’t get over how much emotion she’s able to convey with just her eyes alone. It’s haunting almost

Seth Aasland

Also Irving told Dylan in the last episode to “hang in there” thats why he figured out something was behind that hang in there poster

H

Brigg looks so FINE in this (respectfully)

H

“He stopped me before I drank it though.” Irving really was the most caring person in MDR 😭
