Did we watch the same show? It's actually a pretty popular opinion, and even geks acknowledge that Gojo, one of the most interesting characters in JJK, is kinda shallow. He doesn't have much depth. The only characters that can be part of that conversation are Geto, and maybe Yuji and Yuta, but even then, the writing still isn't that strong. This is coming from someone who has a Geto profile picture on other social media accounts and loved every moment of the show. Honestly, even some Demon Slayer characters have more depth. Even Sakura, one of the most hated Naruto characters because of her lack of utility, could be considered to have more depth than Gojo 😅🫣 They have around the same amount of development. Gojo is just cooler and more likeable.

Sung Jin-Woo can't just keep gettin away with this shit. This mf is aura farming in every shot he's ever in, and it hits every single time lmao. Solo leveling is really heating up tho, I actually look forward to each weekly episode so much. I can't believe he arose the floorboss here first try though, I really didn't think they were going to give him a boss this overpowered. I am a little surprised at how broken his ability is, like how quickly even with the leveling system, that he rose from literally the weakest hunter to being stronger than other S ranks. I know he was doing his quests and shit, but it's still crazy to me I feel like it hasn't been that long and he's already so broken. I feel like they're going to have to introduce people or bosses much stronger than S rank in order to keep up with his growth, which is strange because S rank is meant to be the epitome in their ranking system (that we know of, who knows). Otherwise who knows, maybe it's just a shorter series, I wonder how far through the manga the anime is? Either way, not really a complaint I care about much, just a thought. This show is such a good watch in so many ways I could literally care less.

Gojo's relationship and history with Geto does all the heavy lifting for his character, but that one aspect alone makes him a deeper character than Jin Woo. He is more interesting because he is OP with insane aura but his strength doesnt solve any of his problems. In that respect he is like Levi.

Sorry but the ending was ass. I love solo leveling and I’m on my 4th reread but that ending was genuinely one of the worst endings I’ve ever read. I’m obviously not going to spoil why it’s ass but I haven’t read the side stories or sequel yet so I don’t know if it gets better but planning to read them during this read through.

Another thing that was different from the manhwa was the part where Jinwoo is facing Kargalgan's enlarged size. He actually says "I had a bad experience with giants before... Not this again." which refers to the Double Dungeon when he got tortured and killed by all those gigantic statues. Just a slight difference!

I literally have no words for how amazing the choreography was in this episode. It's actually insane. One thing to note would probably be that Kargalgan did mention something else when he was having a crisis and started glitching. In the manhwa, he said something really specific, but the speech bubble glitched sooo bad that we as readers could barely see the word HAHA Also, Jinwoo is pretty much immune to all poisons and abnormal effects that are inflicted on him by someone else (this includes curses). It's the passive skill he got as a reward for surviving the Double Dungeon in the first two episodes of season 1, if y'all don't remember:)

Solo Leveling is entertaining and enjoyable as a feel-good read, but it's a power fantasy at heart. Jinwoo's got the personality of a rock throughout. But it's not meant to be a deep show anyways so I just enjoy it for what it is.

This fight definitely had more build up than that one especially considered they said it's close to an S rank gate and also had another S rank hunter enter the gate. I do feel a bit bothered that there's some information here and there that I think it'd be important to add and they haven't. Im overall very happy with the episode. I cant expect a mahoraga kind of deal with almost the entire episode with very costly unreal animation but what we get here is really good. The cgi was used for dialog or scenes in between and the key scenes are made just that much more impressive. A1 really got the dynamic camera work down. Good job A1
