Think what you have rated as 8.4 and higher and then compare to this... this show is cringe every few minutes. Takes me out of it so often with how unconvincing the acting is, how forcefully "set up" certain camera frames are just to fit some manga panel frame I guess? It is really bring the whole experience down for me. Then those anime sighs and name calling whenever someone is in trouble... "Aguniiii", "Arisuuu"... from Usagi every time he gets punched in the face, as if her calling out his name actually does anything to help him or her feel any better. I cant stomach the requirement of me to suspend my disbelief so many times... after that burn victim throws Usagi off himself she basically does a 360 in mid air obviously suspended on wires... like why was that shot even required to be in the show? It looked horrible. So many little things like that... Then that burn victim guy, cant remember his name - why did he wrap his half burnt clothes around his face and back like that? As if he has a cape around his back and a mask on his head. Just to look like his manga design? Later we find out his other eye isnt even burnt, and it doesnt even have any relevance to the story... so just why? So many silly things bring down the believability of the characters for me. Then the shot of the many people looking at the burning Beach building complex... they were made to stand spread apart in such an unnatural way, like every person isolated, when social interactions dont work that way. People clump together with friends and close companions, but in this, Im guessing "manga frame shot", they were told to stand in specific spots just for that "shot". Its so annoying. Aguni should have been shot so many times running directly at the burn victim cosplay guy but I guess bad writing needs to happen. Oh and the bullet shots on the bodies looks worse than paintball. At least make it look semi believable. At this point it looks like they get sprayed on. Yea, a 7, at MOST for me.

With that being said, sometimes things do go over my head a little. Aww Anya and WHY, I've loved getting to know you both. It's comforting and reassuring to find a connection with someone let alone two people. Us three are just extremely passionate about this show. Also, I was nerdy and even ordered season 1 and 2 on ebay. Even though I know it's not official, I still wanted to have a copy. That's what I do with my favorite Kdramas too. I know I've said this multiple times, but I can't wait to see the guys reactions on season 2 especially episode 1. It really sets into motion the intensity and tension for all the new games about to take place. Sorry for the extremely long message. But I felt very touched. Thank you again, both of you. 2025-01-29 08:29:09 +0000 UTCThe plot twist in the first part of this season’s finale was already great, but everything else in the second part of this episode together with Mira’s appearance on the screen just makes the finale even more amazing! - The fact that Hatter purposefully pointed his gun with no bullet to Aguni, almost wanting Aguni to shoot and kill him, just makes their story so sad. Hatter did actually realise that he’s gone too far and became crazy so he wanted his own friend Aguni to end his craziness. - I think the scene where the random military guy couldn’t die from the shoot with the empty gun is a powerful scene because now he has to live his life with guilt - living with guilt is sometimes more painful than dying. - Just a side note, people said Niragi didn’t die from the burn and fall because he fell into the pool. I guess the show didn’t make it obvious because they want his later appearance to be a surprise to the audience. That said, there’s a more valid reason why he didn’t die and you’ll find out in s2.

They were aware of their relationship (basically brothers) and of Aguni's temperament. Aguni was perfect to play the guardian of the witch. They expected no survivors. Momoka volunteered to start the game because she couldn't handle earning her visa by killing people. She believed in a better world. She wanted to show the game masters that they are still human and will work together to beat this game. (Which initially ofc didn't happen) Asahi mourned her friend's wasted sacrifice and was going to let everyone die. She only sacrificed herself because of Arisu. In all this despair, Arisu fought for each life and recognized their all the same. The cycle would've continued if it wasn't for Arisu. It’s just not so much of a social commentary as SG but the purpose of AIB is not even to give social commentary. The two shows actually have totally different themes and concepts.

Season 2 is definitely better especially with the games. I realized literally all the best games I remembered minus ep 3 is in season 2. S2 is really what cements this show as among my top live action shows

It surprised me the first time I realized people hated him, but some people are just that sensitive about other characters basically mistreating the lead. That's just how it is. I totally agree with you though, on the fact that it makes sense he basically put himself and his own plans first.

2025-01-29 06:33:41 +0000 UTCDefinitely not a fair comparison there at the beginning of this video when they haven’t even watched the finale of s1 or seen a tiny bit of s2 of AIB (let alone s2 is fire towards the end, like it builds up gradually to reach its peak), and they’re comparing both seasons of SG to only s1 of AIB. The fact that AIB s1 is not a standalone story based on the manga but only just lay a foundation for s2 as a continuation of the story means that they shouldn’t treat s1 as a standalone show or make these comparisons at such an early stage when they haven’t finished s2 yet.
