I got into anime when I was in fifth grade and definitely growing up there were lots of people who thought anime was weird. But, there was a group that did like anime that I would hang out with. I'm enjoying this show so far. It's been reccomended to me by so many people. I really like Eren and Mikasa. Connie seems like he'd be interesting. He reminds me of Tanaka from Haikyu a bit. Sasha is definitely funny, but I'd have to see more of her character to determine more. I'm excited to watch more

I heard someone suggest that Meat in japanese mean "niku". I confirmed this with google translator for what that's worth. Niku sounds and spells similar to nicolo. the marleyian chef that kaya suspected was dating sasha. It can be inferred that niku might have been a clever nickname she gave to her supposed lover nicolo. the words sound similar. it would make sense that she would mention his name before death if she indeed love him. I know a lot of people were surprised and didnt like her last words being meat, but if this translation and play on words is correct, then it makes more sense now. I'm interested what you guys or if some of you already figured it out by now. additionally in the manga the writers did not use the traditional form of meat so it hints that there may have been something special about what she said or perhaps she tried said nicolos full name but only got through part of it before passing

Such a long and strange journey I have with this show. I think I saw season 1 for the first time a decade ago when I was in middle school. I thought it was incredible. When the season 1 cliffhanger I thought season 2 was around the corner. But it ended up not coming out for another 2 years which is FOREVER at that age. I tried picking it back up again as the return to shiganshina arc was airing in 2019 but gave up because I was a “big grown up 18 year old” who was too cool and too focused on partying and girls to watch anime. It wasn’t until later in college around 2021 when the hype for season 4 was peaking that I finally fully got back into it. Actually because a girl at a party I was trying to talk to was telling me about it. Now here I am in 2025 and it’s my favorite show ever, I’ve probably watched it in its whole another like 4 times in the last couple years just from watching reactors go through the entire thing. Now twice with y’all Time flies lol

Cannon and Carter are making me laugh a lot during this rewatch for them. Their reactions, knowing looks and glances at the camera and at each other is everything. Reminding so much of Brig, McKay and Jack expressions from the first watch through. Also the girl ( sorry I promise I’ll remember the gek girlies names real soon ) that commented on Erens eyes is so based. He really does have some of the prettiest eyes in all of anime, especially when MAPPA takes over & animates them

The AoT rewatch is such a unique experience, I didn't even really like the show until I'd gone back and paid closer attention, but rewatching it knowing what's to come is like watching a whole new show.
