This is something I didn’t notice in my first watch , but when he describes his wife ,before the reveal of her picture, he does it the same way that Ms.Casey shared facts about the employees outies , and that the facts are all loved equally. Cool little part

2025-04-22 17:26:43 +0000 UTCYeah latching can be a difficult thing for the mom/baby. Sometimes it's due to the size/structure of the nipples. Sometimes the baby has some physical inhibitor like a "tongue tie". My son had issues latching and we ended up cutting the bottom of his tongue slightly to allow for more movement. He immediately was latching better and drinking much more.

My only minor disagreement is that I think their innie might be more cooperative and loving of the baby and doesnt see it as torture, cuz otherwise itd be a rather dangerous enterprise with innies murdering babies to be "free". Itd be horrific if youre right and the innie has to be the ones doing all the surgeries but I think (and hope) the birthing was the only procedure the innie has to do.

Cause if you’re gonna have the innie raise the kids because you can’t be bothered you’d probably also just have her birth them no? And one version was pregnant/giving birth while the other was watching the kids at the park with her husband.. so I feel like the docile nice one in the cabin that wanted to name her kid William was the innie, but the husband and the outtie just used her and named him Bradley. I just think they see innies as tools vs real people.

You know, how some people dont want to be parents but still are? I think thats what they are going with. And the innies get training with the goats. Thats my theory. That way its not full on torture. The innies entire life is mothering. Otherwise i feel like the innie would constantly pull a helly if they were only conscious for the painful parts of life.

And the next time she is conscious is when you have to go in for a root canal or some other awful thing you don’t want to experience… sheesh. That’s dark.

So I think it's a situation where she isn't dead, she was severed as well (only married to his outie) so now just never leaves Lumon as only her innie. It's a file that the showmakers released after episode 6 for world building and some crazy reveals about Lumon and how things work. It's an official cannon source so if you guys really wanna puzzle and theorize along it might be a good read. It includes 18 pages of letters between a former Lumon employee and a news outlet, as well as a 24 page attachment "The Macrodata Refiners Orientation Booklet" which is the guide book that explains everything to the innies in regards to their job in Macrodata Refinement and the rules they have to follow as Lumon employees. It's funny but it's really upon rewatch that you can tell Ms. Selvieg has been bating Mark about her. She kept trying to see if he remembered her, like when she took the candle from his place and made her use it during the therapy session, etc. She was very obvious about it but the first time you watch the show, you don't realize it because you don't know who they are to each other.
