For me the most exciting part is the theory and when reactors connect dots. And if reactors remember a lot of details and could comment on the storytelling, especially later one piece arcs which are more complex, that would be more impressive.

Jdanime (one of my most favorite reactors) have OP reaction videos for about 1-2 hr in one single OP episode. Because they are theory crafting, connecting all the previous events to their currently watched episodes, etc. How they can remember a single or passing comment of the character six or eight hundreds of episodes before with just watching it one time is beyond me. These are actually the reasons why I am watching reaction videos. Really hope you guys can bring back the yapping because that's the joy for us viewers. Advance Merry Xmas!

He knows that Crocodile needs to be defeated, but Vivi didn't make going there her goal. So he quits that plan. Which is why he calls Vivi naive, because Vivi believes that if she can stop the rebellion, she can save the country without causing more bloodshed. From Luffy's perspective, the only way to truly bring peace to Alabasta is to defeat Crocodile, because as long as he's in power, the country's problems will continue, no matter what happens with the rebellion. "Just one look at this country, and even I can tell...what most needs to be done!" Luffy isn't the smartest, but even he is able to recognize that the rebellion is a response to the oppression and suffering caused by Crocodile's rule, and no amount of controlling the rebellion will solve the underlying issue. He also recognizes that Vivi is putting on the burden of saving the country on herself rather than relying on him and the rest of the Straw Hats. Power of friendship and all that.

2024-12-20 06:43:38 +0000 UTCReposting my comment from last upload since I commented pretty late and in case it helps your guys viewing experience: Something to keep in mind maybe is the fact that the one piece anime makes 1-2 panels of gags or jokes much longer and dragged out to keep pacing down so they won’t pass the manga. Naruto did this with flashbacks, one piece with additional “fillers” that aren’t by themselves filler but are things that didn’t happen and usually don’t add much besides increase the run time, and in a way that doesn’t dissuade viewers that watch week to week. And they can do it really easily with so many constant important characters and different islands new things to see, where it feels very frustrating at times. Because of the nature of anime and the show, it makes the characters seem like they’re these gag characters the majority of the time, rather than the opposite where these gag moments are very short and a single panel. Sometimes they even create whole new plot lines from these gags like chopper and luffy getting lost, which doesn’t happen like that in the manga and really drags it out. I think just accepting that this will happen and that it isn’t the author, writers, animators, or really anyone’s fault and kind of separating yourself from these moments and chalking it up to the studio doing this instead of fillers all the time or flashbacks. I feel like you guys can kinda tell when it’s happening, just kind of detach from it, it’s animated and written with no intention of being true to the characters, just stuff to pad the pacing
