4 hours and 50 minutes of anime a week with DanDaDan and Code Geass/whatever replaces it, 4 hours live action + movie if they do it. I think the biggest thing is live action uploads are missed and delayed more often which hits a bit more since theres less choice for live action viewers so its real likely they only like 1 of the 2 LA shows, anime enjoyers have 5 diff anime's going and like i said, less missed or delayed uploads... And one little thing that might not be "fair" but watching 3 episodes of anime (60 minutes) and watching 1 episode of Live Action (60 minutes) do not feel the same.

?? I don't know if you have access to both content but if you add the video time for both tiers they are practically the same, sometimes Live action have more video time than anime. You guys have to remember an anime episode is 20 minutes while usually a live action minimum is 45 minutes. For anime we get (rounded) 2 hours of content per show, which are currently 3 (Haikyuu, Naruto and One Piece) The same with Live action +2 hours per week per show (which they are taking 1 week break between shows) plus any movie they are doing during the weekend that are usually +2 hours. I don't see where the live action is 2nd fiddle 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think Slasher(2016) the anthology horror series is pretty good. This is an old one but master of horror(2005) I remember watching and each episode was it's own story.

I guess I’m the oddball out but I thought Alice in Borderland was a fun show. Glad I gave it another chance. I'm a sucker for dystopian survival type shows. While I enjoyed Squid Game, I like the story a little more with AIB. It goes more in depth with the characters and their backstory. The fantasy elements are an added bonus and the non-stop action. Can't wait to see their reaction!

I’ve seen both and enjoyed both and I think they are pretty similar. Show revolves around life or death games, all Asian cast/setting in foreign language, dystopian vibes. Objectively there are a lot of diverse shows out there and there is a reason these two always get brought up in the same sentence (and no it’s not just people that haven’t seen it)

They will have to go for Succession off their own call like they did with Severance. It's one of the most reaction-worthy shows with great characters and writing. Eh AiB is a much less popular and worse-rated show to squid game. But it generally wins polls, across reaction channels where anime and kdrama fans don't watch live-action so they give it a throwaway vote. I didn't see any but there were hundreds of comments. I don't care about reading subtitles, but some people do. The only comments I saw were ones of people complaining about not wanting to watch a show in another language (not racist) and complaining about anime fans (not racist) lol. I still like TWD better. The great episodes are truly great. Plus since I binged the entire show by the time it had concluded, I didn't feel awful about the slow ones like weekly watchers do. I think I'm one of the rare people who don't hate the later seasons.

But I will: I am subbed to another Patreon channel that is making their way through all of the greatest shows of all time. Their uncut videos require syncing up with your own copy and their YouTube edits are only 12 minutes of the show. If I didn't have to sync up with their videos, I'd have great movies AND shows to watch daily. But I do, so all I can hope for is that other channels I like, who aren't avoiding copyright like the plague with this tactic, watch the same stuff.

I'm not a fan of AiB or Japanese series in general, but I'd rather watch a hundred of them over The Walking Dead. The show lost its purpose after season 5. The only decent seasons were the first three (with the second being 70% filler lol) and the first half of season 4. With that being said these are my preferences: 1. Hill House 2. No, the reason is that the genre/demographic of this manga is shonen, which is targeted to teenagers. Then, it’s a live action adaptation which makes things worse because it makes everything a lot more cringier. As someone who loves anime, but has already seen enough of the big3, this channel doesn't really have much for me anymore after Haikyuu. It's all regular tv shows, which I find to not be worth the time. I was really hoping this channel would act like a constant season of anime releases. I guess I would have to go with Alice in Borderland. I'm almost done with season 2 right now. It's a fun and interesting show with a ton of twist and turns. It makes me want to check out the manga. But at the same time, my love for horror is saying Haunted of Hill House. Either one is fine with me since The Glory, my first pick didn't win sadly. Really anything is fun to watch with the guys :)

haunting of hill house all the way. it's complete in a single "season", the writing, acting, and cinematography are superb, and after the bad taste got left i think it'd be a good palate cleanser for the next show. watch something "short" and good that you can move on from positively, then dive into another show with multiple seasons.

I enjoyed Vikings back in the day but even then I could tell it was a mixed bag in terms of writing. Especially beyond season 3-4 (except a specific storyline). The characters are really cool, don’t get me wrong but I think the show has aged poorly in the current golden era of TV. I haven’t watched AiB so can’t comment. TWD is a huge waste of their time to be honest. Hill House is a masterpiece though. Ten episodes and not a second of it is wasted. Damn near perfect show.

The reason why you feel it's "childish" is most likely because its source material is a manga. And based on their interest in anime in general, they are also very likely to enjoy it. I personally really liked the twists from season 2, that hooked me right in. I've also watched all these shows and enjoyed each of them. They're likely to do so as well. I don't really want to evaluate which one they'll like best. Since I won't get to see them watch The Expanse or The Glory (my top 3 picks), I just want to see them react to The Haunting of Hill House (my third pick) and Alice in Borderland (my fun pick) first.

Better Call Saul isn’t meant to be watched without the context of Breaking Bad, and you didn’t even get to most of the Better Call Saul characters at the point you dropped Breaking Bad. That being said, if you didn’t like Breaking Bad then you wouldn’t like Better Call Saul. Personally I think they are absolute masterpieces in storytelling, character development, and just top tier TV. Can’t think of a show that gets even close, maybe AOT haha.

Alice in borderland is very different. Very childish, the drama parts don’t come close to anything in squid game, everything is a caricature, the show is simply not serious. But I get your point. It’s enjoyable sure but it’s a 6/10 at most while Vikings is a serious show that is a solid 8-9/10 for 4 seasons straight. I am pretty sure they will like Vikings or succession even walking dead much much more than alice. But it seems we’re watching alice now, Vikings maybe next time.

TWD is too long, so I voted Vikings, which I loved when watching it years ago. I haven't watched the other AiB or Hill House, but AiB is too similar to Squid Game for me to be interested right now. We don't need two game show shows at the same time imo. The plus is that both AiB and Hill House are short, but Hill House is both shorter and not similar in premise to something already being watched. I think AiB should be above TWD, but below Hill House and Vikings in that regard.

I don't mind them watching Alice in Borderland. In fact, I would very much like to see them watch it because I enjoyed it much more than I did Squid Game and I feel like they will as well. I see some people here say Haunting of Hill House is "horror", but it is not what the series focuses on at all. It has some creepy moments, but the story in its core is a really hard hitting, insanely well acted and extraordinarily cinematically filmed family psychological drama with a heavy creepy historical family mystery. The best show out of the four is Haunting of the Hill House but for best reactions is Alice in Borderlands. After Alice wins, in future polls I will support Haunting of the Hill House for sure.
