I think it does not make sense that this worked because it's a paradox. If they prevented him from creating the two worlds, they would never have existed and so they would never have been able to stop the death of his family. I think it should have been 3 different loops, just like the symbol.

Show ended out of nowhere. Like “just go there” and they went there and it’s over. Feels like everything until now, all those interconnected and unavoidable paths were for nothing. They literally ended everything with one action. You could say that’s how you untie a knot, but for me it went against everything the series built up. So at the very least, they should have been the reason why the couple died and THEN everything started again, ending in an unavoidable fate. Then it would make sense and make the mess of season 3 worth it. This underwhelming ending just doesn’t do it for me. Really liked the first 2 seasons but the ending makes this a meh show for me. Sure I think those 2 seasons were great but as a whole I just don’t care about the series right now

And it's finished 😭 Out of all live actions show I watched with you guys, this is my favorite. I love time travel stories so much. I don't think I have a top for characters, but definitely Claudia and Jonas are up there. I totally get Carter's point, as much as I love media that are character driven, I appreciate a well written story even if I can't relate to the characters, is good to have that, but if we don't but we are rewarded with amazing story telling then I don't mind having mid characters (and I don't even think there are mid characters in this show) Nevertheless, I enjoyed this a lot, thanks for introduce me to it❤️ I'll definitely drag my bro to watch this with me while I rewatch it!

Can't believe you've finally finished the show, come so far from when we were asking for it for ages and it didn't get the love in the polls. Dark and GoT are definitely my favourite live-action shows and probably 2 & 3 for everything behind AoT. I always go back and forth on which I prefer because they're just so different. There are things I could say would make Dark better if they were included, but there's not really anything it does that isn't basically perfect. For me, the most important aspect for a great series is a well-executed and complex plot, which Dark is (imo) the greatest example of. It may not have the emotional pulls of other shows, but it just doesn't need them at all. For me it's absolutely a 10 since in what it tries to do it's flawless (and goes beyond almost anything other stories have done with travel). You can't compare a comedy to a horror, nor to an action, etc, so I don't judge it for what it isn't (e.g. there's little to no action but that doesn't matter). It's a shame more people don't know/enjoy this, but that's simply their loss for not experiencing this masterpiece.

I’ve only seen one reactor watch this by himself and figure out the full ending before the ending. He had charts, timelines, notes, and always had the family tree up during his watch. So yes, it’s possible, but actually took away from the reaction. In my opinion. Great watch guys! Enjoyed!

I would probably go further and acknowledge that it is a great show for what it wanted to accomplish but I have no attachment to it at all, not even a little and largely because of the lack of likable characters. I felt nothing towards them. Therefore I didn’t care about them or the story. Dark atleast has interesting characters imo therefore I care enough about them and the story. And IMO BCS is a far better show.

Didn't Tannhaus just name Charlotte after his lost granddaughter? Thats what I first thought when they introduced them. Showing another way he was obsessed with having them back. I think something cool they could have done was show him with his son and his family in bits and pieces so you know he has a family and are connected to their relationship, THEN just reveal they had an accident and we'd automatically know that's probably what started it after seeing everyone else do the same with their lost loved ones.

“Jonas and Martha.. they have to take his pain away from him..” That line broke me. Knowing that our Jonas and Martha have to cease to exist to keep Tannhaus from experiencing immense pain. The same issue some of you guys had with Dark I had with Breaking Bad. For BB it was hard to me to like either of the main characters towards the end, but it's still definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. It's probably why I like Better Call Saul a little more than BB, it felt more character driven than narrative (even though both have great stories and characters).

First about the show, Regina's dad is Bernd (Helge's dad), kinda crippy, if you remember he was a married man talking to 12 year old girl who was tutoring his son. But yeah, he is Regina's dad. Claudia knew real dad and knew Regina was safe from Jonas's bloodline who will cease to exist if loops are destroyed. She decided that if in these 2 worlds Regina die, let her live her best life in the origin world. Adam travels a lot! He found out all the family ties and loop's components to make it be the same way every time and he got scarred while he was collecting all information. Plus he worked with electricity a lot, while building the sphere of God. Adam was the one sending Silja to Bartosz and putting some chess pieces on the board. You asked how Origin was relevant, He basically was Eve's soldier who did whatever was missing to make loop happen, like making minister sign contract for the nuclear plant, he send an anonymous letter to make Policeman come to this city to look for his brother Alexander and he caused the explosion, they killed Bernd, so Claudia can take over the plant and they killed Claudia's secretary (don't remember why, I think because she knew too much or something). Tannhaus's granddaughter's name is Charlotte, he gave that name to a random baby that was brought to his door (Our Charlotte). If you noticed, all the origin world characters (like Hanna, Katharina, Peter, Regina) were always badly influenced by Loop characters (Ulrich, Mikkel, Charlotte, Noah and etc). It feels like Hanna is a nice person, but her love to Ulrich made her sick, same with Katharina, she seems so much happier here. Woller's eye is like an inside joke of producers, they added it and decided to make fun of viewers. MY THEORY: I think this 3rd path that Jonas and Martha did, which Claudia think never happened, already happened as well. I feel like this loop didn't happen every time, it happened like every other 20 loops of 2 other versions of reality (where Jonas becomes Adam/gets killed by Eve-Martha becoming Eve/gets killed by Adam). Claudia tried to get more information for the next Claudia and every loop they tried to get more and more, all these 20 loops let's say, Claudia gathered maximum of info she could get, finds out there is 3rd world and creates this 3rd version of loop, where Jonas and Martha save Tannhaus's family. But if you think about it, for Tannhaus's family to be saved by our characters, they have to have these characters in the other worlds. Who saved them, if not Jonas and Martha. Also how Martha remembers that she saw Jonas in the closet, if this is the first time Jonas went to this split second reality and looked at little Martha. So this is a trifecta, 3 loops/ 3 worlds/ 3 different aged couple of Jonas and Martha/ 3 centuries. 1st loop is where Jonas and Martha become Adam and Eve, they hate each other and become chess players, 2nd loop is where both of them are killed in the opposite worlds by older version of each other, 3rd loop which happens not interchangeably with these 2, but accumulates a few of these loops, so older version of Eve and Adam, who lived I guess 60-70 years don't know about it and get shocked each time. This final loop is the main one, Tannhaus losing family - creates time machine and causes the split - Marta and Jonas product of loops come to their world and save the family - which at the same time has a second version of them dying, cause there are no Martha and Jonas - which makes Tannhaus create the machine. Cause and effect, they can't be saved if Jonas and Martha do not exist lol. I love this show, top 5 of all time. Also I am always shocked by how similar we think with Carter, everything he says is what I said watching this show. I also think Breaking Bad is amazing, but not on the level of GoT and Dark and AoT and many other great shows. I love characters here, I cry every time they disappear, so many life stories and great people, who were affected by these loops.

There is way more reasons for all the kids and chair stuff it is one of the most misunderstood parts of the show imo so many people think it had no purpose. But Jonas cant end up in the future without it, none of the other tech can be made. Ulrichs phone wont end up in 53, kids wont go to caves looking for Eriks stash = Mikkel never goes back etc.

Some cool stuff you might missed in the show. 1. Hannah tried(?) to kill herself with the gun when Stranger Jonas came home. Remember what Young Noah said about time doesnt allow killing yourself. 2. Adam telling Jonas after he killed Martha "you can try to save her or stoping me". He doesnt talking about Jonas to do it now. He talking about Stranger Jonas. That why you saw him earlier hes trying to save her and then waited for Adam (before he gets the letter). 3. S3 was released on 27 June 2020. The Apocalypse date in the show. 4. The names "Adam and Eve" is because they were the first people in their own looped family tree. They were their own ancestors. Their son "The Origin" was Tronte's father, in both worlds. Between his murdering he had time to get down with 2 versions of Agnes. Ulrich was Jonas and Marthas great-grandson. Martha was her own great-great-grandmother. Martha -> The Origin -> Tronte -> Ulrich -> Martha Jonas was his own great-great-great-grandfather. Jonas -> The Origin -> Tronte -> Ulrich -> Mikkel -> Jonas Also, both Hannah and Katharina were Ulrich's great-great-grandmother. Hannah -> Silja > Agnes > Tronte -> Ulrich Katharina -> Martha > The Origin > Tronte -> Ulrich Ulrich was both the grandson and the grandfather of the murdering trio. There's endless of those permutations in that family tree.

great outro, only thing id say, is i think some of you missed out on some of that emotion cause of the setting of filming and cooking with 4 other people also cooking and talking while trying to read subs and pay attention. for me there was a good handful of moments in this show that just wrecked me emotionally that werent things ive experienced myself but were just empathetically devastating, i.e. claudia seeing regina sick with cancer for the first time when she travels to the future and sees regina take her bandana off her head

Loved your reactions for this show!! It’s been my fave since I saw it a couple of years back. Btw not sure if you guys noticed but Tannhaus’s son is MARek TannHAus which is similar to the name Martha and his wife Sonja is an anagram for Jonas. This show is so good with such tiny details. <3

Fun fact, even though Jonas and Martha as they exist in the knot don't exist in the origin world, Tannhaus' son and daughter in law's names are Sonja and Marek. Sonja is an anagram for Jonas, and Marek has the same first letter as Martha, so it's kinda a nod to them actually being a perfect match. The way I see it is that the knot was created because of Tannhaus' love and pain for his family and Jonas and Martha's love for each other in the knot comes from the love that Sonja and Marek had for each other.

I’m with brig it’s so true, I can confidently say that I would have never watched this show ever in my life if it wasn’t for you guys reacting to it. Watched the first season with you guys and binged the rest and can say this is one of my favorite shows of all time and right there with steins gate for being my favorite time travel show.

Agree with Brig and he’s been saying it from the beginning, Dark is missing a character emotional attachment. So that does put my ranking at. 9.8 objectively and 9.6 subjectively. Still a top show for me.

I think it does not make sense that this worked because it's a paradox. If they prevented him from creating the two worlds, they would never have existed and so they would never have been able to stop the death of his family. I think it should have been 3 different loops, just like the symbol.

I like to think that the people alive in the origin world at the end, are completely different people compared to their counterparts in the branch worlds, they’re the same people with completely different upbringings

Good ending is just like McKay says and Jonas and Martha get to live in a world they don’t belong in free of any destiny or fatal fate and happily ever after

Speaking of rewatch. What the hell was up with the back of Noah’s hand. I never forgot about that, the symbol from Regina’s mammogram report was embossed in the back of his hand.

Damn the dinner scene was so interesting almost beyond words. Like the whole show was just a high ass shower thought Hannah had while looking at a yellow jacket 🤣

Ultimate dystopian nightmare ending for this is, on that panning shot down from Martha and Jonas at the end of the street appears a new pair and our “prime pair” faces realizing just as they finally fade away

I don’t like this ending at all, this was a rewatch for me, season 3 was a mess. Also, they should have been the reason why the couple died in the end like briggs said, that would have made things more interesting. Show had the chance to do this but blew it

I’ve only seen one reactor watch this by himself and figure out the full ending before the ending. He had charts, timelines, notes, and always had the family tree up during his watch. So yes, it’s possible, but actually took away from the reaction. In my opinion. Great watch guys! Enjoyed!

On my first watch I was devastated when they didn't tell us how he hurt his eye.

Too late, I already forced my family to watch the show. My brothers loved it, mum and dad loved it. My sister watched 2 seasons and stopped 🤯

when tannahaus said its raining outside it was his attempt to make his son not leave , he didnt want them to leave soo soon so instead of directly saying it he used the rain as an excuse

You could treat episode 7 or 8 as the ending of the show and both are great to me, 7 is the end where the cycle goes on forever and 8 is the end where the cycle breaks. Best rewatch show.
