Saving Luffy when he got kidnapped by a giant bird and carrying him when Luffy was stuck in a cage, even though Zoro could have easily ditched him since Luffy technically blackmailed him to join his crew, but he saves him anyway, which shows when Zoro makes a commitment, he sees it through. 2. Luffy ordering Zoro to go get Nami from Arlong Park even though Zoro didn't want to, but he does it anyway, which shows he'll follow the captain's orders even if he doesn't always agree. 3. When the other Straw Hats get worried if Luffy is in trouble, Zoro would ask, "Did Luffy ask for help?" Which shows that Zoro trusts in Luffy's ability to handle the problem. 4. When Zoro promised Luffy he would never lose a battle again in baratie arc, it was another moment of Zoro declaring his loyalty and commitment to Luffy. He always consistently shows the most respect and faith in Luffy out of all the Straw Hats. It's your comment, "when you know what's coming," that spoils things. You just think about the big moments and overlook all of the minor details that have already defined Zoro as a character.

2024-12-06 16:07:13 +0000 UTCWell, for me PERSONALLY, alabasta arc is one of the most and the beginning of REAL INFO OP. there will be a lot of things happen there. like the other arcs also have some name drops or a bit info drops but for me alabasta has something that important and everybody in OP are important than i thought compare to i watched OP for the first time. hope yall enjoy this arc and the other following arcs. some of people said it will be good at 200+ episodes but for me it started from alabasta until now(actually it is good since the beginning but in terms of the info and more seriousness i think this arc)

2024-12-06 10:53:04 +0000 UTCI'm no expert, but I've always understood it to be L and R are hard to pronounce distinctly in japanese, so the sound is typically somewhere in the middle. This then leads to romanized words often having the L or R swapped for each other when they show up in anime, sometimes perhaps mistakenly but other times seemingly intentionally. When we hear someone say "Luffy" it sounds more Luffy than Ruffy, and when someone says "Zoro" the characters definitely pronounce it more like Zoro than Zolo, but again the L or R aren't as distinctly pronounced as they would be in english. Also in writing this comment I was checking to see if Loguetown was a misromanization of Roguetown (because there's that one very important romanization later haha), but it seems the believed reasoning is that because it's the iconic beginning and end town, it's a play on "logue" from Prologue and Epilogue.

Being a pirate means the government comes after you and other pirates will come after you as well. Also Sailing around in the grand line is different than just living on an island. You have seen the dangers of sailing in it already. Normal people have to be rich to travel from island to island as they have to pay someone to take them probably. It's not common for these people to leave their islands.

What hooked me the most is the lore, mysteries, world, and the way Oda made everything well connected, it’s just so satisfying. A lot of details are designed for a purpose. Like the name ‘Raftel’ was not randomly called but after 900eps when truth revealed made us viewers tears of joy. It’s a long ride with lows of some episodes and few arcs but the main storyline and theme is very consistent.
