I know since I’ve been a fan of both anime and Korean dramas for years. A lot of the most popular Kdrama’s amongst fans are actually romance ones with a lot of drama or comedy. They are addicting to watch. Some have lighthearted stories while others have extremely toxic stories. Kdrama’s also tend to have a much bigger budget & better quality to them than Japanese live actions. Also the acting too is also very noticeable between the two. Korean actors tend to be more on point with their performances, even newbie Korean actors have a lot of talent

There are so many and they all have at least 3 names they go by- first last and nickname, they all wear helmets and their faces look the same for the most part and lots of em die the same episode they are introduced so you never know whether to feel connected.

I enjoyed them as a teen girl but even I can recognise that while these show are great among regular tv shows, they absolutely do not stand a chance in comparison to peak tv shows. Like BB, Succession, GOT, Dark, etc are all high quality shows worth of awards, with consistent budget, magnificent writing and perfect acting. While the shows I’ve mentioned have mid graphic, a very typical and predictable plot, way too many number of episodes only 20% of which is above average. Even the acting is on a way lower level. In addition their target audience is teenage girls (specifically from ages 13-18) which makes them at least cringy (with excessive romance or male character being cheesy) and at most predictable.

It's about an English military nurse on her honeymoon in Scolatland who accidentally travels through these stones back in time. She starts out in 1946 and ends up in 1743. It's interesting watching her as she navigates a time period she's only read about in history books. It's a Time Traveling romantasy. They are based off the books by Diana Gabaldon.

Its also very faithful to the books, the book writers were extremely heavily involved with the creation of the show. You guys will love it. Most of the "big" reaction channels have reacted to it at this point. Fallout would also be fun. Only 1 season and preps you for season 2. Dexter would also be fun but its kinda long. Haunting of Hill House also a great high quality unique 1 season watch. Its not what you probably think it is.

Such great character development and action/adventure along with great feels and crazy moments. EDIT: The 100 is my favorite show of all time. Best show CW has ever made imo, forgot to put it on here. Little longer, but it’s a hell of a watch. Lots of action and excitement.

Seriously though, it's a truly 10/10 show, every episode is basically Saving Private Ryan (if I'm not mistaken, it was made by the same person), and it's all based on true stories and real people. There are two series, BOB in Europe (best one) and BOB in the Pacific vs Japan (still really good). These are top tier shows and extremely intense and emotional, especially if you've got family who served in that terrible war, gives you perspective on the peace we currently enjoy and the cost that came with it. Supernatural is a cool show for the first 6 seasons too, and Animal Kingdom is basically grand theft auto the show--MC's mom ODs and dies, and he's taken in by his estranged grandma and four uncles, but they're legit GTA criminals, they do diamond heists, expensive car jackings, crazy murders and stuff, and slowly the MC becomes one of them. If there wasn't so much sex I'd probably have kept watching it (not the sex I wanna see sometimes lmao). These are my recs

Breaking Bad/BCS I think Dunkirk and The King would be some good options for films when you're done with the Harry Potter films. All Quiet on the Western Front is another film that I think is really worth watching, either the 2022 film or the 1930 film. There are also a million other classic films, especially horror ones that are great. Honorable mention: Raised by Wolves was a weird sci-fi show (Ridley Scott is an executive producer) that HBO unfortunately canceled during a company reorganization, so we won't see another season for a while (if ever).
