I can understand what you mean, sometimes you dont need a answer, sometimes things happen because it happens or because people are not min maxing every descision. Just how in real life ppl dont make the best descisions or hit 100/100 times the ball correctly even if they are profesionals. I am a very analysing person (very needed for my job) but with movies or series and specially fiction i dont over analyse things. Its always easier to make descisions if you see the whole picture or have information a certain character has not. Like if i would look at any series i can see descisions that not line up or things that happen that is impossible with how it works in "real life" as how little chance it would be for example "survive" something. Lord of the rings is my favorite movies but even if the story is perfect if i would analyse it then there are alot of things that would not make sense in real life because of how low chance of survival things for example are. People not getting hit by hundred of arrows etc. or how a character does not instantly press a button because someone started talking to him. I always see it as 'luck of 1 in a milion', see it as a character story and how he lived it, how he has been lucky in a certain thing or made bad descision, something happend that shouldnt have happend, an "1 in 1milion" chance or descision. Same with how time works in movies and series, where a scene is playing and at the same time a different scene plays out but they first show 1 and then scene 2. And then ask yourself, why is he just standing arround! but i just imidialy think "this is just because they cant do a quad split view and show everything at the same time so they focus on 1 thing first and then the next". But i can understand it makes it seem like some characters are "standing still" well in reality its not all liniar but just for a movie/episode sake it looks like that. Ican understand everyone is different and i know some people are different then me too for what they expect of a movie or series specially where it doesnt feel right in their eyes. In the end its just something you feel or think of something. i want the reactors to express what they feel and think, its interesting to me. I love the geks and the reactors i watch and i dont want them to all have the same opinion or interest, sometimes i like to take a step out of comfort and watch something i normally wont and see why the person likes something.

Cannon, think about why we feel embarrassed to show how we feel during those impactful tough scenes... What we feel in those moments really is empathy, compassion and kindness for the pain and sadness that the characters are going through. Is that really something embarrassing, or actually something kind of awesome? Sometimes thats the only way to be there for someone in a moment of pain and sadness - by showing we understand. Isnt that the best example of strength a man can be?

Great reactions! It's interesting how they changed Cho's character. She was more annoying in the book. I laughed when I saw Brig's eyes go wide when Harry described the kiss as "wet". The Dumbledore's Army scenes were definitely great and Filch trying to catch them. And Dumbledore versus Voldemoet was great. Sirius's death was so sad. He and Harry never got a chance to be a family. The actress who played Umbridge played her part well. Her daughter actually plays one of Penelope's sisters in Bridgerton. I have mixed emotions about James. He was obviously a bully and there is no excusing that, but I don't think that makes it right for Snape to instantly dislike Harry because of it. We didn't know much about James as he got older. I would hope he matured and showed redemption for Lily to fall in love with him. The sixth one is a pretty good one. That one is in my top 3 for sure. Excited for next weekend!

This movie makes the best case for the TV adaptation of the books. Book 5 is the densest book with the most world building but the movie skips most of it. There is so much more lore regarding the prophecy, with the history between Snape, James and Sirius, why Dumbledore is avoiding Harry etc. There is more depth too, you see at places like the trial that not everyone is with Fudge against Dumbledore, the characters at the Order of the Phoenix are fleshed out more, and the sheer trauma of Sirius being stuck at his old house and the tragedy that his life has become. Even the end of the story, all the events at the Department of Mysteries and the battle beween Voldy and Dumbledore are so much better there.

I get its a reaction, but reactions with context clues ya know? Especially with naruto, “guys are ninjas” thats how they do it, theres not much more to it than that. Sometimes u gotta suspend disbelief. And one piece too! For example luffy carrying sanji and usopp across the water to the ship by launching then from logue town. That caused a ruckus. Guys rubber, he launched himself and his buddies happend to be in his path which launched them too. Yeah its not physically or rationally possible but it happend he can do it. Suspend disbelief, its so minor. And it was an element of humor which i think it was placed there for anyway. Sorry just my only grievances ive voice since start of the channel! I remember in the behind the scenes for this movie, the scene in which harry is screaming, he was really letting emotions out because i believe a family member of his just died and he let out all those real raw emotions. So he wasn't really acting when he let those tears and screams out. The crew talked about how bone chilling it was to watch and hear him.

Buddy really called Snape a "victim" 💀 But I'll cut Brig some slack—he's a movie watcher. Yes, James bullied him at 15, but he also saved his life when Sirius told Snape how to get past the Whomping Willow on a full moon. Snape was so eager to learn Lupin's secret and get him expelled that he went there unaware of the fact that there was a Werewolf in that Shack. Snape would have been toast if it weren't for James running after him. The movies did the Marauders so dirty, man. They joined the Order at 18. EIGHTEEN! Now, that takes some guts. And let's not forget about the prophecy. It has already been explained by a lot of people in the comments below, so I am not gonna repeat it, but the reason that Voldemort got to know about it in the first place was Snape. He was a death eater at that time, hungry for power. So, when he overheard Trelawny making the prophecy, bro just waltzed to Voldemort, telling him everything. He did more damage than both James and Sirius combined 🤣 This is my biggest beef with these movies. They leave SO MUCH OUT! 😭

This one is my favorite of all the books (apparently a hot take). It kills me seeing how much is left out - but IMO the most impactful scene in the entire book that’s left out is the chapter after Sirius dies and Harry meets Dumbledore in his office. He is so ANGRY from his grief and guilt that he just completely loses it, and the chapter ends with Dumbledore explaining why he did what he did, asking for his forgiveness at the end. I remember being so upset they left it out after watching this for the first time. I really don’t think Sirius’ death and its impact on Harry gets a chance to breathe if you just go off the movie. A shame

The story time reminds me how I would always read in my Kindle during class and one day a teacher grabbed it, and since it was in English (she couldn't understand) she got really mad at me. Also the prophecy has far more importance in the books. dumbledore and harrys conversation at the end is a full chapter and dumbledore says that he was going to tell harry at the end of each previous year but didnt want to frighten or hurt harry with that knowledge. Neville also could have been the chosen one as the prophecy states the boy is born at the end of july which both harry and neville are. Dumbeldore was giving Trelawney a job interview and suddenly she goes into a trance and blurts out the prophecy. It turns out Snape who was a death eater at the time was listening into the conversation and tells voldemort and believes it to be James Potters son. And since Peter Pettigrew was aware that the Potters went into hiding he gave up their location so voldemort could kill them.

Dumbledore destorys voldemort in the book, dumbeldore hides behind statues and uses the statues to surround voldemort so he cant get to harry. every time voldemort uses avada kedavra on dumbledore (he overuses it due to fear) fawkes the phoenix swallows the spell and dies and reforms so voldemort cant hit dumbledore with anything at all.

The best part about this in the books is how real and visceral JK wrote on Harry's grief and anger after losing Sirius. If you've ever been touched by loss you know she didn't leave anything out of that process. I think one of her inspirations for writing HP was her mother's death and it really shows. It's been a while so I'm butchering it but I remember these lines from the book where Harry says "I don't care!" and Dumbledore goes "you do care, you care so much you feel as though you will bleed to death with the pain of it." and you read it in your head in Gambon's wonderful voice ... I had lost my uncle and that part really touched me 😢

One of the coolest plot lines in the books that the movies completely abandoned is the idea that Neville might be the chosen one and not Harry. In the books the prophecy says: "born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal..." Neville is born on July 30th and his parents defied Voldemort 3 times. The books play with the idea that Harry is only the chosen one because Voldemort thought the prophecy referred to him and went after him, marking him as his equal and that if Voldemort had instead thought of Neville he might be considered the chosen one and be the main character. Maybe wistful thinking but I like to think Neville finding the prophecy is an easter egg that the prophecy is about him too.

Sirius's death was so cruel because he and Harry weren't able to spend that much time together - let alone live together, and because Sirius fell back into that veil Harry didn't even get to mourn over his body... and it was kind of Harry's fault and he's going to feel so guilty about it😭 It's so diabolical and depressing
