My rating is 8.7 I think I was annoyed he didn’t go see his daughter on first watch but now, I do understand why he went back. I really could not live knowing this game would continue and hundreds of people will continue to die. Also, in ignoring it and just letting it happen again, (to me) it would be the same as the winner “transforming” into the game master. Just evil doings. Couldn’t be me. He also could have either sent money to his daughter already. Once he (hopefully) dismantles squid games, he can live the rest of his life taking care of his daughter knowing he stopped a psychotic game.

Ofc I'm not trying to generalize bc every person has their own personal preference, but there is a reason why chewing ASMR/Mukbangs grew to be so popular in Korea and even trended for a while worldwide. It's a form of eating "deliciously," so I think the "sensitive" mics are def a stylistic choice. It appeals to an audience. That audience just isn't you 😂

It's not explicitly stated in the show though, just implied since Sang-woo had called for his mother in his final moments and told Gi-hun that he would use his winnings to help his mom. In Gi-hun's mind, especially since he was offering for him and Sang-woo to win together during the last game, that half belonged to his mom anyways. ....it just took him a year to do it. no biggie.. lol

But I don’t blame him for not being able to move on from this, we see throughout the series how big his heart is, he missed his daughter’s birth because his coworker was killed. He isn’t in the right place mentally to even raise a child so I understand why he went back. He could have at least visited her first lol but i guess we have to be dramatic.

I was loudly suspicious of him from the second he popped into the screen, and I judged him immediately. If I'm honest, mainly just because of him having the number 001, and it was all confirmation bias from there. I never dropped it, not even after his fake death. If I had been wrong that would have been embarrassing. So I've noticed the main difference between me and most people watching is that I never rooted for or liked the old guy. When people go "Look at him, he's having a great time, he's awesome" during the red light green light, I was murmuring to myself about the "coincidental" 001 being a psycho etc. This one guy having the time of his lives as hundreds of people just got murdered next to him. Sussy sussy. The other thing I've seen to be different between me and most people watching is that I never hated Sang Woo. Not even in episode 6. While he was ruthless during "game-scenarios" I found that he was always saying and doing good guy things outside those parameters. In my mind it wouldn't be fair to hate him for not being naive about their predicament, or the following desperation. I also definitely noticed that he had already accepted death in episode 2. So I assumed his motive to survive was not himself but his precious little mom, and kept that in mind. I feel like his last moment proved that to be true.

As a kdrama watcher, there were many famous faces in the teaser, it will be so much fun. I think Red hair is kinda him taking control of his life, doing something bizarre but because he wants it. Btw, in Azerbaijan, where I live, we have Squid Game quests games, you pay like 10$, they get 20 people and you have the set and everything to play. Really fun time.

Will you be able to live happily and spend this money knowing that more than 400 people died for you to have it and that while you're spending it there are more people dying for the soul purpose of entertainment ? He knows his daughter is safe in the US with her mother, he doesn't have a bad relationship with her and he don't want to pretend that his is happy when he knows what is actually happening. So yes I understand his decision and I think it's a good thing he didn't get on that plane not only for the plot of season 2 ;) but also because by doing that i think he will start a chain of events that will end the games once and for all and no more people will die. Also PLEASE react to Alice In Borderland I descovered this show after hearing from people it was similar to Squid Game but it is actually better and if you thought the games in Squid Game were good wait until you see the games in Alice In Borderland THEY ARE AMAZINNG !!! Anyway hope you watch it next :)

I remembered the old man being a "VIP" but i didnt remember Sangwoo killing that girl, i didnt even remember her dying, I didnt remember he goes back to the game at the end of the show etc. Some people just forget the stuff they watch, its not that serious :)

The biggest twist of the show and you don’t remember it at all. Yea right. As much as he gas lights himself, I kind of feel bad that he has to be fake for the channel and for discord and for the views. It’s so easy for him to lie, whoever he ends up with can see how much he lies in this channel and reflects on his personality.

Wasn't he going to lose one of his organs from that loan shark in ep 1 if he didn't pay it back within a week or something? One answer I have is that the squid game people took care of that, but also gave Gi-Hun the full prize amount on top of that? idk Other than that, I'd say the show is properly rated, maybe should've been a bit higher, but overall its pretty solid and was an enjoyable watch.
