As a Naruto glazer, from the little I’ve seen of one piece, it seems different enough from Naruto that it doesn’t do either justice to say that one is better than the other: like saying basketball is better than football. It’s helpful to think of Naruto as a philosophical fable—think izanag/izanam, aka the will to decide vs perpetuate fate, how that manifests differently in the protag and antagonists. The portrayal of solipsism regarding mind vs individualized reality, then connections to Plato’s tragedy and shadows on the cavern, or reflections of what IS reality. One of my favorite quotes from the show that captures this: “it’s almost as if you passed right through them.” One piece so far seems less philosophically driven, but far more dedicated to an expansive world and journey.

I love winter. Autumn and winter are my favorite seasons. I don't do well with heat. I handle the cold really well, and love snow. I even enjoy driving in snow, I consider it like Tokyo drift 😂. Let me just say that to this day, both Luffy and Zoro are in my top 5 & 10, within or outisde the Straw Hats (different ranking for favorite One Piece character vs favorite Straw Hat). I think people not putting Zoro in their top whichever is more a thing for random individuals, but not in terms of actual polls for popularity (I see those in the manga). He’s always way up there; Zoro is a fan favorite for sure. Also, I do love winter. Except when it's more icy than snowy.

I definitely agree that he has more depth than other ‘cool’ characters out there and that’s why he would rank high if i was making an overall anime character tier list, but within One Piece itself, there are definitely a lot of other characters that are better imo. Zoro is definitely top 5 favorite pirates for me. My top 2 doesn't appear until the end of this arc sort of but he's definitely in the next arc and Sabaody for the other one. Karoo might grow on you in Alabasta.

THATS WHY HE IS THE GOAT. I am glad that you managed to upload these 2 episodes, I really love them due to having great Luffy character moments. Zoro is definitely 2nd most popular character among fans after Luffy. You might seeing all these lists without Zoro because there are just so many characters in one piece lol. Also fan base is really diverse and almost every character has their own fanbase so these lists are much more uniform than shows with only couple characters just dominating.

Dw, Zoro is very well loved in the OP community and always ranks high in the popularity polls. You guys definitely are not the minority. I love all the straw hats, but Zoro is my favorite even though some may deem him as the typical "cool" character. His loyalty is just unmatched. There are lots of amazing characters in One Piece though and I'm sure you'll grow to see why people have different favorites.

personally, Zoro isn’t even in my top 10 mainly because he’s not any different from every other ‘cool’ character out there. His 3 traits are being cool, loyal, and cool. Ussop and Sanji have way more personality and are more fun imo.
