My brain exploded the first time I watched episode 21, but rewatching with you definitely made it easier! Plus, there were some really helpful comments under this video and I finally fully understood what the Ragnarok Connection is! And surprisingly, you were pretty astute and calm about what was happening. I expected more confusion and shock.

It’s so powerful and impactful ugh.

All of humanity is really one entity, but wearing many masks which each take the shape of a human. And that entity/God is formed from the collective unconsciousness of mankind and their desires. Think of it as God wearing finger puppets, which are human identities, except God has billions of fingers, and the humans are God just as much as God is the humans. What the Ragnarok Connection was going to do was essentially remove the puppets from the fingers, and allow God/humanity to exist as an undisguised part of the whole. Each human would retain individuality as a "finger" so to speak, but everyone would be aware of the fact that they are the same and would thus understand each other completely. That's my understanding of it, at least. It's also a clever inversion of the stances at the beginning of the series. The first time we see Charles, he's giving a speech about how inequality is good, struggle and competition breeds progress, and weakness should be purged, but his true goal was to remove all struggle so that the weak (himself) could have peace. And Lelouch, who desired a kind world for Nunnally, where the weak would not be tread upon, recognizes that if humans became truly equal, progress would halt, and no one would be able to move forward, and that if kindness and compromise comes for free, it is not really kindness.

2024-11-22 03:15:45 +0000 UTCthe outcome of the ragnarok connection is never really shown so we can only guess what would happen. what is said seems to sugest it would the human race aware of its own collective unconscious (god) allowing to every human to understand each others intentions and, so incabable of liyng to each other. charles believes this would end all conflicts between humans which is pretty naive imo. just cuz humans cant lie to each other dosnt mean they wont fight for resources and knowing their intentions to invade ur country surelly wont help resolve conflicts. lelouch also disagrees with his father philosophy, because the only reason he did anything this show is because he lied. lied about his identity to survive, lie to save his sister, and lied to get the blacks knights. lelouch thinks lying is a necessary evil if u want to change the world. suzaku sides with lelouch because he has seen all the great ppl in his life agree with lelouch. euphimia knew zeros identity and never told him, and so did shirley. both lied to protect him, giving emphasis on the idea of lied to protect something u care about. also u can learn abit more about the collective unconcisous on youtube just search carl jung philosophy explained, its a really interasting topic sorry for the long explanation i just really like this show. keep up the good work guys ur gonna love the ending :)

VV was killed by Charles cause he lied to him about killing Marianne, breaking their contract. VV thought it was for the best to get rid of Marianne. VV and Charles are brothers, but when you get your Geass, you stop aging. That's why even though VV is older than Charles, he looks like a child. CC saw all this and left the cult, but without second immortal Geass holder they couldn't do their plan. Now immortal ones are Charles and CC. And he offered to help CC by killing her. Thus making him the only immortal Geass holder

Marianne got her geass powers from C.C and Marianne never levels up her geass since she only used it once so C.C had to find other people to make contracts with, the scene is in the beginning of episode 20 where she says C.C gave her the geass in C.C's mind place.

Lelouch and C's world wanted the march of time meaning lies, struggle, suffering and progress to continue in flawed reality. A completed world would seem boring though but thats because we werent born in one.
