Things come up. I really don’t mean this to be ugly or mean but if there are people who don’t work or who are kids or something, they may have a harder time with this kind of thing. It’s just 5 dudes and one guy trying to edit and upload. Maybe you’ve never edited in your like (which is fair). But it’s not as easy as you may think. It’s not just as simple as cut and paste. Give them grace. They watch so much stuff and upload it for us. It’s okay to hay annoyed sometimes, we are all human but as long as they aren’t scamming us, just relax.

2024-12-03 23:59:11 +0000 UTCI don’t know if it’s in the comments, but one thing that is not in the movie, (no spoiler) the inly thing I would have added, is that the Marauder’s Map was created by non other than Harry’s Dad, James and his friends during their time at school. Their nicknames, Padfoot, Wormtail, Moony and Prongs, wherw created because Lupin had been biten and would turn into a werewolf every full moon. What happened is that the school needed a place to hide Lupin during his transformation stage, and decides to plant the Whomping Willow to create a safe entrance to the passage that leads to the Shrieking Shack. The four friends then became illegal Animagus (they are supposed ro be registered at the ministry), a complex and long process a wizard or witch can choose to do once and that lasts a lifetime, to be with their friend when he, unwillingly changed to a werewolf. Hence, Moony (Lupin), Padfoot (Sirius), Wormtail (Petergiew) and Prongs (James, because of his antlers, he would turn into a stag). Also, James’ patronous, was a stag, and this is the reason Harry confuses his with his Dad’s. Another interesting development that comes from this info, is that Sirius is able to escape Askaban, because he is an unregistered Animagus. So nobody knows. How he does it, is described in the book too I think. Last fact: patronuses, when advanced take the shape of an animal. It is sort of yoir “spirit” animal. And if you are in love or sad, it can change overtime. :) hope you read :)

And for USD$5 for the month starting Nov 1, I counted 16 postings in my category (over half belongs to Dark reactions which I'm not interested in). Thus, $5 for 6 videos (mind you, they're just reaction videos) is definitely not worth it for me. I think that's a fair statement and even if you don't share the same sentiments, it doesn't take away that I feel that way and many others who liked my comment felt that way too. I should have done my own research and check out what videos they post on here before subscribing, so it's my bad that I didn't realize that this channel isn't offering enough value for me. I know you're probably a loyal fan of the channel seeing how you jumped in to eagerly defend them, but the comment I've made is pretty objective (it's honestly how I felt --- again $5 for 6 videos for me! if you enjoy most of the 30+ anime and 20 movie reactions, then good for you because that's a great deal for $5!). I'm also posting to let them know my thoughts (seeing how many others supported the comment, I'm not alone). I'm in go-to-market (GTM) analytics, and the most valuable thing a customer provides is not money but feedback. If my customers are leaving, I would rather them leave a reason than not.

Either focus on one or do a better job posting new content to satisfy both groups. The perceived value for reaction videos (with seemingly little editing/effort and very infrequent postings) ain't worth $5 for either of the groups right now...

2024-11-20 08:31:47 +0000 UTCI understand the frustration of wondering why they're remaking this, but then i also remember some of the gripes i had with the movies compared to the books, and characters that got left out. I think it being a series will give new life to the series since unless you read the books you won't fully understand some aspects of the characters. I think the years in between that I haven't read the books but rewatched the movies, I forgot just how magical the books were. I've been rereading them and watching the movies back with you guys my old gripes returned. The movies left a lot to be filled in by people's prior knowledge of the books however for people who never read the books things had to be explained or things were completely different and the impact was not the same. I really hope they take the opportunity and don't try to rush it or cut things out because the detail put into the world building is spectacular.

The next one is one of my favs. As far as how Buckbeak saved them it's exactly how Harry saved himself. In the alternate timeline Buckbeak didn't die. So that's how Buckbeak was able to save them.

Rowling created the dementors based on depression, having sufferd it herself because of her mother passing away and because she was living almost in poverty after her divorce having to take care of his little daughter. That's explained by herself in a documentary called "J. K. Rowling - A Year in the Life (ITV, 2007) - HD", very good one if you want to take a look after finishing the books (or the movies, if you really dont intend to read them). Great reaction!

Also there are some important bits of information for the future that are left off. Still I think PoA is the best adaptation of the 7 books. 1 and 2 are easy because Columbus and the producers put almost all the books into the movies, short books so it was possible. 3 is the first one that leave things off but I think is still a very good adaptation, and cinematically the best one (props to Cuarón!). Movie 4's adaptation is still decent IMO, 5th one starts the fall but still slightly above the minimum for me... the last 2 books are painfully bad adapted though, I mean, is the climax and the outcome of the story, where you are ment to solve all the misteries, questions, motives and everything else and those movies are just... horrible, they really killed the story for me, even though I understand it was because of comercial motives and because they needed to keep the movies relatively simple and as all-family-friendly as possible. I also get that majority of the people got into the books because of the production of the movies but still... painful as a person that love good, well written stories which I totally think HP is.

That defense against the darks arts scene does a really cool shot where the camera goes through the mirror at the end presenting a mirrored image of the whole room. That's why Harry's scar was above his left eye at the end, instead of the right where it's supposed to be. The entire room was mirrored. Jack once again wasn't paying attention but unintentionally gaslit you (no hate to Jack but he does say the wrong-est things with the upmost confidence sometimes lmao).

I enjoyed the movies, but I was often baffled by how important the stuff they sometimes left out. Of course, not everything could fit into films with a runtime of about 2 hrs 30 mins max, but there were key pieces of lore that really should have been included to make certain events more coherent. Take the Marauders, for example—they're my favorite part of the Harry Potter books, and the movies don’t even explain who they were! The Marauders were a group of four best friends: Remus Lupin (Moony), Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), Sirius Black (Padfoot), and James Potter (Prongs). They were the creators of the Marauder’s Map, and their backstory is so important. The Harry Potter series literally started from their downfall. The fact that the Marauders became illegal Animagi during their fifth year to support Lupin during his werewolf transformations is such a meaningful part of their friendship. The Whomping Willow and the Shrieking Shack were specifically created to contain Lupin during these transformations, and only the Marauders knew how to safely get past the tree. How could the movies leave all of that out? Instead of including random, unnecessary shots of clocks or dementors, they could have easily used that time to explain what was actually happening. I am glad a remake is happening. With an extended format, they can put everything in.

I've seen these movies countless amount of times already, so I thought it would be to add a fun game to it to make it more enjoyable. Beautiful & tragic at the same time. Tragic in the sense that it's his happiest moment bc of how shitty the rest of his family life is.

In the book, the firebolt arrives halfway through and no one knows who it is from. Hermione suspects it might be from Sirius, sent as a trap (cursed broom or something), and she reports it to McGonagall who decides its best to get the broom stripped, and Harry is furious with Hermione about it. 2. The creators of the Marauder's Map are Remus Lupin (Moony) , Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), Sirius Black (Padfoot), and James Potter (Prongs). 3. When Lupin turned into a Werewolf, the other three friends decided to all become animagus to keep him company. Sirius chose a dog, Peter chose a rat, and James chose a Stag. 4. The Shrieking Shack isn't actually haunted - It was made as a place for Lupin to go to when he transformed, and people who didn't know heard his howls and thought it was haunted. 5. Everyone who casts a full patronus sees it turned into an animal. Harry's patronus is a Stag. 6. Sirius Black is mentioned by name in the very first book. It's his flying bike that Hagrid uses to bring Harry to the Dursleys.

But it was easily one of my favorite reads. Much like the time stuff in AoT, it just hits different when you piece things together the right way. Glad Brig is enjoying these.

I also love how Alfonso Cuarón captured the whimsical nature of this world in his style. Also the crescendo Expecto Patronum scene is iconic.
