I'm not caught up yet, I think it's still Viktor. His ultimate goal was always to help the underground, all his research and his life was so help others. I think he'll do everything he can even with the influence of the hex core, even if it hurts him to do it.

I hate to say it, but three episodes in, the second season feels like a step down from the brilliant first one. Arcane was such a strong show because the writing worked on a deep, almost intimate, interpersonal level between the main characters. Second season zooms out and delivers a weirdly paced exposition dump, held together by montages devoid of dialogue. At times, it even gave me flashbacks to watching late-night MTV "back in the day," as some parts felt like over-produced music videos. What really takes a hit this season is the pacing. Everything happens at breakneck speed, leaving little time for proper development, all while throwing loads of new characters at the audience. There's barely any buildup or time in between, and the characters jump to new locations seemingly out of nowhere, ready to have what is supposed to be one of the most anticipated confrontations. Overall, Act 1 of Season 2 is not good. It's extremely chaotic, the pacing is far too fast, the music and art styles feel inconsistent, and the characters lack coherence.

Arcane S1 swept the emmy's and they better sweep this time too because they keep peaking with their sequences, like the music video at the beginning of Ep 3 is one of the coolest things I've seen since S1 Jesus Viktor stays one of my favourite characters but I also miss him, like that is 90% orb and 10% Viktor. He basically died in the first few minutes of the season IMO without a true goodbye because his body's still walking around :(

To answer, yes, I can see many anime fans not interested, and also the fans on here who only care for live action shows. Arcane is perfect because it’s animated perfectly and the characters feel live at times with the emotion shown in their eyes and facial expressions. But hopefully more fans of the Geks, especially on Patreon will take notice and watch it!
