Conversations seemed less nuanced than before; plot points felt rushed, and the new characters lacked development β they were simply thrown into the mix without a compelling story or introduction. I was surprised by how weak Jinx's attack seemed, considering its impact on the council was comparable to a few hand grenades, whereas we initially assumed the rocket was akin to a nuclear bomb. Jace and Mel's survival, courtesy of "magic," felt a bit cheap. The interaction between Cait and Vi was also inconsistent, rapidly shifting between supportive, loving, defensive, and spiked. While this oscillation makes sense in theory, the pacing felt too rapid and random. Despite these issues, I'd give this episode an 8.3/10. It's an okay start; let's see how the story develops.
