It should be known that both authors actually mess with each other heavy and have created panels paying homage to each other's series. Forgot the event that prompted this, but in one Naruto manga panel you can see the straw hat Jolly Roger on the hokage statues in Leaf village and in a One Piece cover art you can see Luffy eating Ramen with Naruto. If there is any genuine animosity towards each other's fan bases, people should at least be aware that the authors are cool with each other and we should be too
