I feel like 2-4 hours would be the best, where they get in to the flow of episodes but not overwhelmed.

They don't hold any crucial information just some carefree lore on the side

One that was not animated that happened in the manga when this saga began is hatchan(octopus) escaped arlong park and found a mermaid and starfish than began a food restaurant.

Watching it gives me a feeling that I find hard to put into words as much as I try, but it feels so real and enchanting. Like the pleasantness of hearing the one piece music and watching the camera go around as we watch each member of the crew do every day tasks and the sheer simplicity but beauty of just that. Or even like them all sleeping on the hammocks on the ocean at night, just makes me want to set to the seas and experience something as freeing as that haha. One piece to me is like like pure romanticism. I know Oda's talked about that theme a few times and I get it. I feel like most people that watch the show know what I mean when I say that idea of pure adventure and freedom that the story and the crew represent is so alluring. I think it touches on a primitive desire for exploration and discovery that everyone has especially as kids but kinda forgets over time, and it makes you relive that feeling and reminds you of how simple but right it is to feel that way.

Idk why the anime stopped adapting them after this bc it just leaves anime onlys with gaps in the main story and you'll definitely have questions later on.

The theory was, the Navy guy who was put on hypnotise to think he captured Kuro was Morgan the Axe guy. He had the similar facial features and his jaw was broken when Kuro raided the Navy ship. By "caputuring" the infamous "Kuro", Morgan got the promotions and ended up in the Captain position, and by being hypnotised, his mentality forever changed into this bad guy.
