I think it’s interesting hearing about Turbo Granny’s story and then realize she teleported with Ken through the phone to save momo from the Aliens. Not confirmed but it would make sense.

2024-10-28 04:48:04 +0000 UTCDandadan is one of the few exceptions ive seen where the dub has been so much closer to the manga, the subtitles feel like they lose a lot of the nuance the manga and dub capture, which is even more important in sub because you can't use the subtle differences in tone (or changing the font/style in manga form) the dub/manga can.

2024-10-27 21:17:41 +0000 UTCThe end kinda got lost in translation, but basically Okarun instead of a normal good bye said "Sayounara" which is said to be used when you have no expectations of seeing the other person again. It's very formal also. Maybe a better translation will be "Farewell" instead of "good bye" They both kept repeating it because Okarun was probably over thinking if "Sayounara" was the appropriate word to use and Momo was probably legit confuse as to why Okarun would say that if they will see each other at school, that's why she then correct him with the "Mata ashita" or "See you tomorrow" which implies she will continue talking to him and that's why Okarun was super happy.

Some Jokes are funnier and especially the ending on this episode where they say "goodbye" it becomes more clear why they are repeating it (for everyone not knowing - they were questioning if it was a "final goodbye" or the casual "I will see you tomorrow" goodbye) and I like their bickering more in English tbh. I am def for Studio Gek maybe trying one episode with DUB and decide what they wanna watch.

2024-10-25 14:26:56 +0000 UTCI do not think that this is true because the words you mentioned are 怪談、奇談、体験談so it would be dandandan not dandadan, but it is a good guess and I tend to lean with it rather than what I saw, I just looked up in a Japanese websites and apparently the Japanese fandom said that it is still not shown or explained but most of them think that the first dan is taken from the English word "done" and the dadan is the Devanagari sign that indicates the end of a sentence, Devanagari is a writing script of some languages like Hindi, Marathi, Nepali etc so Japanese fans say it is like a full stop in Japanese or English, hence the show is called ( Done. )
