I think most people binge watch one piece, watching like 20-30 episodes a day so they don’t enjoy it as much as you guys do so they say it only gets good at the super peak moments. But one piece has always been good even before 200 episodes or whatever everybody else says. But still I can’t wait for you guys to get to a certain saga, it’s my favorite arc in anime history. That arc solidified my love for one piece

YO BRIG AND MCKAY, this message is for you guys especially. Let me start by saying at the end of the day do whatever you want, I don't know you guys nor know what you're thinking so watch the show however you want. But it's just I whenever I'm watching these episodes back and seeing how everyone reacts and the comments they have to say, you two specifically remind me of how I was when I started the show and I feel like I can relate to some things on a certain level. Particularly how since you guys just know general anime knowledge like I did, it can be hard enjoying and getting into the show when you're just waiting for certain scenes or moments you remember to pop up. Atleast thats how it was for me. I knew SOO many big moments going into one piece, and it felt like for a while I was just trying to rush through to get up to them, or getting frustrated with where characters were because I'd see the level they get to, or even just trying to constantly analyse and piece together what was going on with all these different clips of big moments I'd seen. And to be honest, I really wish I had just enjoyed the show for what it was at each arc I was watching it. It was so strange, there was an episode around 200 where I suddenly realised that this was one of my favourite shows and it felt like a complete 180 from how I was watching it before where I was just rushing through and wouldn't of considered it that high. I realised how attached I was to the characters without realising it, and so many small enjoyable things about the show I overlooked or took for granted. What I'm trying to say and I promise you this because I did it and I know from experience, is that even if you 'know' big moments in one piece you don't actually know them. Any big powerup or something you've seen is impactful BECAUSE of the context, or the place, or the situation, or the previous 100 episodes or whatever it is. Any big plot twist will be done in a way you didn't expect, or will be so vastly different from the expectation of it you have been building up in your mind. Everything I expected and that was spoiled for me was subverted or still profound in a different way to what I thought it would be. What I'm trying to say is just enjoy where you are. It is so easy to want to catch up to these things, or regardless just want to be up to the newer parts of the show, but live in the moment and try and see good in what you are watching. You don't have to love every second of it, and you're also allowed to like parts of things that overall you may not like. Take Ussopp for example which I used to feel very much the same way you guys did haha. Then one day I realised even though I didn't really like his character at the time, I was still allowed to find him funny, or like certain moments or dialogue of his. It didn't have to be one or the other, it could be both. Watching it back, I'm noticing how many funny lines he actually has, where a lot of the time he's the only character that will call out some weird ass behaviour, sort of like playing the straight man in comedy. For the record one piece is my favourite show of all time now, and i really like ussopp as a character as well as everyone else past and present, so I hope you guys can find things you like as well. P.s holy shit I wrote a lot, my fault yall do NOT have to read this.

something to keep in mind but luffy is basically OP when we meet him in episode 1. his goofy nature definitely distracts from his strength at times. He has basically been training/prepping for being the king of the pirates since he ate the fruit at age 7, so you can expect him to just steamroll most henchman and low level villains for a long time. as evident for him basically breezing through "the strongest" pirates in the east blue" (buggy, don krieg, aarlong)

i love early one piece, i got more issues with the last few arcs that just released pacing wise, they are great, but sometimes too dragged, i never felt like that with the arcs before that though. They've given their feedback at the end of arlong park and it wasn't a baseless complaint but a fair criticism that has a solution. That same issue arises in little garden and one pace trims out 50 mins worth of fat which is equal to a day's filming that they could be using for something else. You & I both know exactly what part of little garden that drags out & causes this issue. The slow parts are not really part of the journey, they're imposed by the studio because they like going head to head with the manga instead of giving it time to cook. No one is saying use only one pace, but saying one pace is only useful after the 600s is also extreme. At the end of the day, we're only laying out options and the rest is up to them.

One Pace might be a good idea for Little Garden, I felt like it dragged a bit in the 2nd half of the arc. Other than the fluff aka we need 20 mins to fill the time slot so let's reuse shots and extend the fights a bit, I don't believe they cut out anything necessary, since it's a pretty short arc.

For me, OP has been fun since ep.1. it looks boring for other people because maybe it has a lot of gags and nothing serious for the first 200+ eps and i think most of anime watcher might prefer a serious series than cartoonish i guess. personally, op gags sometimes too much but acceptable. like every minutes they have to put some funny scenes in it. i miss old op tho... the combination between seriousness and fun. Understand that all the warlords have their bounty frozen. When crocodile joined the warlords his bounty was 80M. But if he wasn't his bounty would be a lot higher. We dont know how much but it could be quite substantial YK.

Bro I didn't remember how funny Whiskey Peak is. The designs were better than usual for some reasln, cool animations as well.

Yeah I agree the first arc isn’t good at all lol but I think it was purely bad execution and nothing to do with quality if that makes sense. For example the ditto fights with guys squad and my man sasori. I get the purpose but they could’ve done way better esp since sasori is pretty strong.

I think One piece may be the exception when it comes to knowing how to end an anime, the journey is soooo long even if the destination was badly written it would be forgiven compared to other shows because we just want to always see them exploring like Pokemon.

One Piece is about the long and fun journey, not reaching the destination. It feels very Anti-One Piece to try to skip/fast forward to the good arcs

IDK it feels weird to me that people wanna use One Pace to get to the “good parts” quicker. The pacing is fine in Little Garden! One Pace is used for bad pacing. Not for the “boring/slow” arcs IMO.
