Btw, if you guys want to have an easier time accurately keeping track of all the events/clues/characters/etc, netflix made a website where you can select which episodes you've seen, and it will give you an overview of everything that has happened in the show at that point without including any spoilers. I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't need something like that to watch a show, the show gives you all you need and you can/should experience it as it is. But I agree that it can get slightly convoluted as the show moves on and maybe it would elevate the experience for the geks, idk. I was super for a map when they were just starting GoT and I guess this is similar, but yea idk. I wouldn't recommend looking at it too much is all...

the glory utopia (2013) it’s technically a british show but i highly recommend battle royale (2000) i know it’s kinda popular but if you haven’t seen it, you’re in for a good time tbh pan’s labyrinth (🙂‍↕️ a classic) everything everywhere all at once (not foreign but it’s my fav so i’m recommending it anyways lmao) the wailing kingdom i saw the devil (if you can’t tell already, i watch mostly japanese and korean movies/shows)

The way time works from my understanding (also a new watcher) is the timeline is set. When characters go to the past they don’t change anything, just do what they always did, So Jonas isn’t changing the past here, this always happens. Kinda like Prisoner of Azkaban. Even if he wants to try to change the past, what he does ends up being what already happened anyway.

Like Gottolf said, there's not really any known way to preserve a recently deceased body for over 30 years to such a standard that even a forensic specialist is fooled. So there's no reason for anyone to suspect something at first glance. You have to remember that you're looking at this from the perspective of someone who knows what's really going on, that this is a fictional story, and that time travel exists, so obviously theres some biases in how we look at it all

I think you're missing the fact that the kid they found was recently deceased. Without time travel Mads would be a 45 year old man if he died in 2019. During the examination early in episode 2 they said he had been dead for about 16 hours, meaning that the body was very fresh when it was found.

Except thinking that's Mads had nothing to do with time travel. Mads disappeared as a kid and was found 30 years later as a kid, it makes total sense without ever thinking about time travel, only if I'm missing something. It wouldn't be a thought, because the default setting for everyone is that time travel isn't a thing. I think a major thing so far has been a lot of the characters just not even entertaining the existence of time travel and so stuff like the dead boy being mads doesn’t cross Ulrich’s mind as being a possibility, same with Hannah thinking that Mikkel looks like her husband when he was a kid. And with there being a 30 year time gap memory can get hazy with faces and since they’re automatically writing off time travel, they probably just second guess themselves.

Americans in general tend to not watch foreign films/shows as much. Anime is a unique exception but it has a community around it; I'd imagine most American adults don't watch anime or foreign films/shows. I think part of it is the culture we live in here in America.
