The Targaryens and Valarions are from Old Valyria/have Valyrian bloodlines and as we've seen Corly's other children were able to ride dragons. That's why Seasmoke chose him. Second, Rhaenyra is bisexual - or it was implied. Similar to Danaerys, their sexuality is more obvious in the books but the show finds subtle ways to hint at this on different episodes.

Alyn and Addam are Corlys' bastards so their Velaryon blood means they can claim dragons, Seasmoke just decided to proactively claim Addam after Rhaenyra offended him with that random knight.

In earlier episodes, if you remember, Alicent was having a lot of children one after the other - Daeron was shown super briefly as a baby, I believe. She doesn't have any children with Ser Criston Cole. She's made sure of that by constantly drinking those "Plan B" teas.
