I’m pretty sure Lizzie had schizophrenia. she 100% believed in her own delusion. I don’t know if y’all missed the part where she said “ I can hear them” when she was talking to Mica while feeding that walker mice. She fully believed that they could all be reborn and be different and better as walkers. She still saw them as fully functional people, just different like the idea of an outcast.

2025-10-14 19:37:50 +0000 UTCone of my favorite and the saddest episodes ever. the actress that plays Lizzie acted her ass off & really depicted what mental illness can look like during the apocalypse because they will most likely go untreated. this episode really hit because a few episodes prior their dad was dying and just wanted them to be taken care of. just an all around sad episode. I feel so bad for carol 🥹. Great reaction guyssss

2025-10-14 04:11:15 +0000 UTCI saw this episode as Carol having to put her money where her mouth is because she was telling Rick that “hard decisions need to be made and you don’t have to like them but you have to do them” like it’s always gonna be easy and here she was put to the test. Inevitably she passed that test but also losing once again “her kids” (cause she promised their father she would raise them like they’re her own). She has now lost 3 kids in the apocalypse and honestly this is the saddest episode in the series sharing first with Killer within for me.

She can shoot people but gets worked up over killing the zombies. And that’s because she knows a human will turn and “live on” in a different form. Which is why she said “I didn’t mean to shoot her in the head” cuz she really didn’t 😂

2025-10-13 20:15:48 +0000 UTCI think Lizzie obviously had something mentally wrong with her and clearly it was left untreated and worsened over time because of the apocalypse…the killing of the animals is definitely psychopathic lol a lot of serial killers do start by killing animals first but I think the fact that the governor tried to make the zombies more of a game to his people and to belittle or downplay the severity of the zombies with the fights they had on some nights made her believe they were just people too with the problems she already had going on in her head I’d say she didn’t get the treatment she needed and the apocalypse didn’t help and who she was surrounded around if she was in Rick’s group from day one I bet it’d be different

I know Lizzie is one of the most hated characters but for myself I understood what she was going through bc one of my family members was schizophrenic and it was tough. Felt bad for carol, keeps going through trauma even after her daughter died.
