He didn’t want to give her that SO she cheated as basically a way of telling him AGAIN she doesn’t want to be with him anymore!! You could argue and say Ted is also doing something illegal because he is, but it’s not DANGEROUS and doesn’t put her families safety at risk. Walt is involved in an high drug cartel operation….any sane woman with kids would immediately be like HELL NO and want a divorce from that. So was she right for cheating? Absolutely not, however, she did it because Walt thought he could exert a power play and force her to be with him and accept he makes drugs. It doesn’t matter if Walt is trying to rationalize what he’s doing to financial help his family. Not everyone would be cool with that type of business because it’s not safe.
