The Sweet and Bitter Story Poll!
Added 2024-03-29 00:21:32 +0000 UTCIt's me. I'm gonna be brief and just skip my usual writing because I'm on break. Highlights: had chills and felt cold even wrapped up in blankets for the last 3-4 days. Not a fever. Just bodily exhaustion. It happens. I'm sure I've mentioned it before.
Playing Dragon's Dogma 2. Not as fun as people hoped but that's gaming news. I think I've nearly beaten it. Trip in Puerto Rico this month might affect chapters.
Still, poll, right? Given the way things are going, side-story isn't appropriate. I've heard concerns about story direction. These are all options I'm happy with.
I guess there's a first question of whether we have ANOTHER Erin chapter right after this. Not a poll-call to make but I'll add it as an option just to gauge interest.
The title of the poll? I reckon 30k should hit multiple parts. So you'll get a fun and a not-so-fun option to mix it up. Vote away! I may do multiple of these plotlines depending on how many chapters I have, but you'll guarantee one.

One where Mrsha will try to take a little off the top for her own desires. Putting up the down payment for the Inn, shopping for the appliances/furnishings, and weapons. Because it wouldn't be the Wandering Inn if it wasn't armed to the gills, with armory lockers in the staff areas, hidden little weapon stores (like the classic shotgun under the bar countertop), and little stealth kill mechanisms (pulling a lever or hitting a button will drop an Acid Jar upon unwelcome/ hostile entrants).

2024-04-01 16:19:06 +0000 UTCThe thing is I did affect the outcome, as the percentages changed by my choice(the only option where my choice would not change the outcome would be when each option has the same number of votes.). So argueing no influence would be difficult. Furhtermore since there exists many readers not on patreon/who do not vote, if we assume that most people vote only one option, technically, I have smoothened the data and made it more relaible (mildly) in terms of guaging interest....by performing a Laplace smoothening. I guess we will have to set up Opinion space (set of ll possible/acceptable opinions in context) as either combinations of things I can vote for or alternatively as the ways in which I can affect the overall data...The answer will depepnd on the contextual setup assumption.

I love that the title of the series and Erin class are nearly matched up... just waiting for the class to change one more time where she BECOMES the inn and it's in a soul realm or something like He Who Fights With Monsters. That would make her Garden of Sanctuary a little redundant, but still great for ya know gardening.

2024-03-30 17:55:50 +0000 UTCI think it’s unfair to put anyone against Erin especially since we got left on a cliff hanger with the Pavilion of Secrets. Although the Horns had a good showing. On a personal note, I’m fine with the direction of the story, although I do miss the happy and laid back days of the story. My favorite chapters in Volume 9 were actually the beach chapters. However, for the story to advance, Erin had to leave her inn at some point. I only wish it was on a happier note. I’m just hoping Erin can regain that same nature she had inside her inn in the outside world

But what other crazy valuable stuff could you put in there? Magicore, Gems, Adamantium (didn’t Erin have an adamantium coin from the gods at some point) or Seith (probably a very, Very, VERY bad idea)

I been thinking about dragons dogma but yea it did seem like it fell short by user reviews besides the outrage over micro transactions. I thought the dragons dogma game was the one with the insanely in depth magic system and got REALLY excited.. now I have no idea what game I was thinking about 😂 but it's kinda old

Everyone on Chandrar accepts them. Everyone who hates them lives across the ocean and the big players... are unable to deal with them as our lich boy has a crazy priest going after an undead leader looking after his people rather than say... a literal slaving empire.... So yes... war against the gods as one enters the material living world seems more likely than war against Roshal.

Even more than that, I want them to be waiting for consequences only to find that the most terrifying truth is that there are no negative consequences. I want the princess to level by virtue of money, which should be a valid source of royal exp.

I always wanted more Zevera chapters where she’s really trying to keep the peace but every time she wakes up and opens her Curtains to say hello to her city a huge eye of Erin stares into her window and says H I back. Or just bird chirping until the inn explodes again. Naturally we aren’t at the stage of the story but it was always amusing to think how much she tried to instill law since Erin arrived, I wonder if she ever started counter levelling. With all her free time now I wonder if she goes to therapy “don’t worry mountain Erin isn’t real she can’t hurt you” We’ve known her since the start but she hasn’t changed all that much on screen (I think) rip the growth and her struggling love life which has existed since the start too. Oof It be nice if she somehow folded into the inn, like a cousin who’s finally bonding more n more
