When Lyonette allows the meeting of Druids one of the reasons was that "Teriarch approved". After the chess match, multiple PoV characters are thinking of him as "Teriarch".

Even a draw would be hard to take with that kind of attitude. He thought of winning as natural and losing as impossible. Like a pro playing only amateurs. 2-1? 20-0 would be 'just as expected' for him.

Lots of people and objects coming and going with a distinct possibility of hitting an mana limit in times of high volume. It would definitely take some of the strain off the regular staff.

Also Magnolia pulled one move on Erin. In return, Erin destroyed her momentum with the Antinium plan. About to demolish her trade deal plan to pressure the nobles. Teri likes the inn more than the mansion. Mag’s servants are working at the inn to entertain Teri. She also has to attend a party for Erin’s friend. I’m not sure there’s enough sugar in the world to help her overcome the Erin slaughter.
